USH'S STAR WARS GAME- CAMPAIGN II EPISODE V (LIGHT SIDE)- Harmony

Isn't it from a book from Darth Bane? I think there was a similar planet there but I coul be totally wrong.

Can we plug into holonet or something to get a "google maps" of the situation?

The planet controls its own satellite network, I would imagine, but in any case, the reports are that the delegation has been confined to its ship.

You are being tasked with two things

- Rescue the Senatorial delegation

- Negotiate a peaceful end to the troubles with the Unions

No, this is not easy, as tensions will be even worse after you do the first part. But it's not easy galaxy-wide right now; this is serious work.

As for the first part..

Casualties to the hostage-takers, or indeed any of the demonstrators, are not acceptable!

Who is holding the senators?

Disgruntled union members.

So, we need to talk to the union members first thing.
I assume it is more complicated, but it seems to me that talking to Union leadership is the best way to get both objectives completed.

Well, actually, you are a bit confused as to what you are meant to be doing. One problem is that there is so much confusion on the galactic networks right now- even official channels- but the second is that you seem to be getting instructions from two different sources- the Jedi Temple and the Senate House.

What is each place saying?

You spend a while trying to work it out.

The Jedi are directing you to safeguard the Senatorial delegation. The situation on the planet is unstable and they cannot establish any guarantee of the delegation's safety. In the circumstances, it would be an abrogation of duty to leave them there even if a rescue will aggravate the situation. However, they urge you to remember that these are not career criminals but desperate people making a mistake. Both on moral and practical grounds, you must not use lethal force in the rescue.

Good to know.
I also think we should figure out some of the more moral questions beforehand so that we don't get completely bogged down when the union leaders ask us the normal questions that disgruntled leaders ask Jedi.

If that is what the Jedi Council is asking us to do, what is the Senate asking us to do?

Well it seems they are keen to clarify that. There is a message for you from the Supreme Chancellor's office.

Jelena will accept the message.

I'll be there too

If Denzral is present, shoot.

Andro's in with Argo. Another non-violence mission for the violent one...

Well, it is a message from the Supreme Chancellor himself...

Palpatine appears on a rather crackily holographic line.

"My dear fellows," he says, "I do apologise for the confusion, but my office has been under considerable strain lately and not everything is getting the attention it should. Oh, congratulations on your work lately- the Council has kept me updated. I knew the right people were on the job ever since you handled that bodyguarding assignment back on Coruscant- and never mind all that nonsense coming from Mandragos, Trilanger. They always were agitators.

"And now you are in command of this substantial team, with a proven track record, I know all of you are the ones to handle this particular scenario as well. It calls for a combination of daring and delicacy and there are few who could sort it out."

-

Andro- no-one said non-violent. They are going to resist. They said non-lethal.

Iffa stands at the back, gently stroking his goatee as he listens to Palapatine.

"I am certain we will be able to see the Senators to safety and reach a peaceful resolution on Holnex," Jelena says, excited to be speaking with the Supreme Chancellor. "It is only unfortunate that we cannot ease the tensions elsewhere as well."

"Quite so," says Palpatine, "but perhaps you may be able to improve the situation there. Once you have rescued the delegation, there is a message I wish for you to bring to Vodon, the effective leader of the most powerful of the guilds."

Vera-Kin probably is not all that pleased with Chancellor Palpatine, who hasn't managed to really implement many of the changes he promised in the last five years.

"And what would that be?" Vera-Kin asks, her arms folded.
