USH'S STAR WARS GAME- CAMPAIGN II EPISODE V (LIGHT SIDE)- Harmony

Since we're talking reckless and stupid, I'm just goin to go ahead and add the idea of making a chariot connected to a bunch of those raptor thingies.

You got the characteristics right: stupid 😛

But how do we do the relay now? If we can nail that down, we just need to make a list who runs where and we're set! Then we can finally get this story on the road again!

Okay...

Blimey guys, Jovan is starting to handle the actual mechanical planning here solo!

xp penalties are still possible here for dawdling.

You cannot imitate the calls of anything until you actually observe and hear the creature concerned, so someone needs to Survival and Intrusion their way up to the creature concerned to get that.

Then, lacking any other method, I would say it will take a five person relay to run the merongam to exhaustion and keep them under control all the way. Each person in the link must be able to imitate the call.

Would it be Survival to imitate the call adequately, then?

Intrusion to get up close to the raptors and Survival to learn their call would leave it down to Xeth and Denzral, since Vera-Kin is out of commission for this part of things.

If imitating the call with Survival is what we need, then we might be in some trouble there. Only Xeth, Vera-Kin, Roan, Denzral, and Wentar have it... but since, as Vera reminds us, she is out of things because of the bior, that leaves us with only four people available to do that...

What if we some how make them run in a loose circle? Somehow lead them back to the person who initiated the stampede. That way we can have a 5 point relay with just 4 people with Survival.

As long as we make sure they don't scatter when we try to send them back... perhaps the other knights and apprentices (none of those are good enough to participate in the relay?) should be set up to make sure that when returning them, they do not run in a wrong direction?

Survival to imitate, yes.

The merongam will have a straight line instinct A circle will be a higher difficulty..

Hmmm, is there any terrain we can use to aid the 'circle' idea? Cliffs, canyons, anything that we could use to help control and shape the merongam's path of rampage?

There are things akin to cliffs- certainly sharp drops.

I assume there's the risk of the merongam being feared to a point where they may just run off the cliffs or would they try and avoid them no matter what?

Well, in all honesty... how big a problem is that?

I suppose leading them off a cliff would get similar results on what we want... Perhaps that's what we aim for guys? Lead them off a sharp drop instead of a lengthy run?

I don't think that's a problem at all. We should aim for running them off of a sharp drop. It should kill them outright, and if doesn't it will at the very least damage them greatly enough for us to not get flattened in a prolonged fight.

Denzral should be the one to sneak up on the raptors and observe their calls. He has the better Intrusion score. We don't want to get stuck in a fight with raptors, for crying out loud.

All sounds good. Give me a final plan and I shall make the rolls!

Okay, Denz'll do it. He'll sneak up and try and learn the Raptor calls. 🙂 I will try and be more involved form this point onwards, I have just been very busy.

Righto, few questions to Ush/other players before final planning.

Would the relay idea still be useful for guiding the merongam towards the drops? If so how many 'points' roughly would we need?

Have we found another group of merongam? Perhaps someone should go looking while Denz gets the Raptor call.

And lastly, should we station some people at the base (But not close enough to get crushed) of the drop? Just to make sure things go according to plan, in case the unexpected happens.

Yeah that all sounds like a good enough idea.

just as long as those players at the base are not seen by the animals, it might make them turn around
