USH'S STAR WARS GAME- CAMPAIGN II EPISODE V (LIGHT SIDE)- Harmony

Oh, missed that post. Jelena is just going to try flying low then, into the city streets, hoping to get below the tracking system's range or something of that sort.

Well, one missile is already following you...

Xeth is going to say a big "Hell no!" to that missile striking his ship and take evasive action.

It's a seeker missile- it is following you.

Can R3 analyze how the missile is tracking him?

Okay, how long do I have before I hit the deck in my estimation. "Soapy?!" Denzral will make sure he has all his supplies. Is he (Denz) wounded at all? And what can I see ahead of me?

What kinds of obstacles does the city provide, Ush? Jelena is not much of a pilot but she can perform some rudimentary stunt work.

Right now you are ok; how you are when you hit the ground is another matter. You'd say about 15 seconds?

You are in the midst of a large city.

Probably a lock onto your electronic signature, Xeth.

"This is Denzral; if this com is working; I'm going down." I'll blow the bolts holding in Soapy, hopefully ejecting him. Then eject the fuel cells so the ship doesn't explode (rather not harm the innocent at the moment if the ship hits any, hostile city or not), then blowing the canopy and ejecting myself; (with as much of the equipment as I can bring). "Good ship, I'll miss you."

Good calls all around. Soapy is unresponsive.

However, if you eject now, you'll be fine but it will trash your ship.

Okay, I'll eject both myself and soapy, after activating any airbreaks that are working, lowering the landing gear, and activating any breaking thrust I can muster from the engine, and with manoeuvring thrusters, and try and make the ship dive as shallow as possible. Anywhere from 40 degrees angle to 20 should do, between is fine, should help limit damage. I'll lock on all the controls, and eject me and Soapy after this task.

If you had more control of your ship and were over an open area, that might work.

As it is, though, it will just hit a building. You will have to stay in the ship all the way down if you want to save it.

Okay, do I HAVE manoeuvring thrusters? If so, I'll try... FLAPS! It has manoeuvring flaps of course, manual control. Jedi Starfighters were designed for in atmosphere manoeuvring. I'll move the ship to the right with manoeuvring thrusters and flaps, and pull up slightly so the ship doesn't hit nose first and aim for a building roof, so I can skim the edge and keep me afloat. I'll vector in as shallow as possible. Repulsors? If they are working I'll hit them just as I hit the roof is there is one ahead of me.

Going for a rooftop! So noted.

"Argo! Strap youself in and Hang On it's going to get rougher! We're going to crash if we're lucky." Andro does just as he commans his Padawan, tightening whatever he can arund himself and braces for the (hopeful) impact.

I'm gonna shoot for any sort of clearing I can see

You are heading down at once?

Well my thinking now is,
We can't leave, we have no fuel to get anywhere else. If I stay airborne they are going to shoot more missels at me. So best put down while I still can. Also Drenzal is crashing, so we are going to have to get him, and not just abandon him. But if anyone has any objections to that...
Maybe put down closer to Drenzal's crash site? Any Thoughts?

You probably have a missile on your tail like the rest of us.

I think my post earlier got missed, but what sorts of obstacles are around that I can try to get the missile to collide with without harming civilians?

Hmm, could R3 possibly jury-rig something that could throw off the electronic signature that the missile is tracking? Nobody else on-board Nexu's Grin has Fix-It so I'm putting a lot of trust in my little droid.
