Ah, well, the area immediately around the starport is a bit clear. If you want to lose it in buildings, you'll have to go tearing into the city proper.
I see. Is shooting it a valid option? More to the point, would Wentar get a Deadshot bonus if he attempted to shoot down the missile?
If not, then Wentar will try and lose the missile in the city. Perhaps aiming for any gaps in the defensive grid, assuming Vlad manages to find any.
Nah, shooting out a missile is never feasible- too small, and if you are pointing at it it has almost certainly hit you.
Roan and Xeth evade the first missile coming their way!
Now two more of them are coming their way.
Roan, your ship is still on fire.
Xeth- R3 reports a power loss. The part of your ship that fell away was a power coupling- the reactor is not properly feeding power to systems.
-
Fix-It helps you mess around with technological things, Vlad, but you don't quite have the ability of a computer yourself to analyse the power grid systems of the city below in an instant. What are you looking for?
Wentar- you are diving through the city, but the missile is gaining. You will need to throw some sort of manoeuvre to lose it!
Jelena- flying through that coupling will certainly damage the ship, though it should explode the missile. Going for it?
-
Denz- you have passed your Piloting roll not badly, though it always can be better. Your dying ship smashes heavily onto a wide metal rooftop, overlooked by walkways non higher buildings, and skids across it, disgorging fire and debris as it does so. You take 5 damage as it finally comes to a screeching halt at an angle.
You are being shot at.
Xeth curses in Geonosian when R3 reports the power loss from his ship, and when the total of missiles chasing his ship becomes three.
Xeth is going to race for one of the defense grid's gaps with the missiles trailing after him, hoping to guide some of the missiles into each other with any evasive maneuvers he throws.
You actually totally lost the first missile, Xeth, so it is only two.
As with Wentar, the missile will hit you before you get there. What plan do you have to evade it?
-
Jelena, you fly through. Your battered ship receives the power overload full-on, as do those of you inside- all take 5 damage.
Then the impossible happens. The incoming missile move straight upwards- not turning upwards, you understand, but simply moving straight up as if yanked by a great invisible hand, clear of the power coupling- and still on your tail.
Well, you try, Jelena- but your ship's controls are not responding in the few seconds after flying through the couplings.
The missile slams into your rear.
Xeth- you went for the city. There is no room for a manoeuvre that involves going in a straight line for any period of time.
There are means to fight firs on board, yes.
Hmmm, are there any clusters of buildings or objects that Wentar can weave in and out of? Hopefully tricking the missile into running straight into one while Wentar is on the other side.
Or perhaps I can fire on one of the buildings and time it so that the debris will fall onto and detonate the missile?
Roan- what dome??!
"Errr..." begins Sunda. Yeah, seems you've never really taught him to be technical.
-
Denz- no, it is because the ship 'landed' at a weird angle, instead of on its underside, so you have to more fall out of the ship than climb out.
There are armoured soldiers on the upper walkways and making their way up to the rooftop- they are firing at you.
-
Wentar- yes... but there are people in a lot of those buildings... a similar issue for you to consider, Xeth.
-
Jelena- this ship is going down, very quickly. What's the plan?
