USH'S STAR WARS GAME- CAMPAIGN II EPISODE V (DARK SIDE)- The Prisoner of Datura

Started by General Zink438 pages

I don't think any of us will want to be held responsible for anything that may happen to Ronto the Bwarking Alien.

Motherbwarker.

Bwark you, you bwarking piece of bwarked bwark.

Ronto must be important; he's utterly useless.

Is it worth trying to improvise a projectile weapon in order to take down the guards at the gate

You know it may not be a bad idea to locate where the source of water for this place is.

Xavier may try and find that out.

The jury-rigging pirate may be able to help us out there, Rah. Xavier has a slingshot from the guy he killed, I'm sure we can make more. Or even bows.

I just want to point out that Ranto will be nothing but a total liability for the attack; he'll alert the guards long before you get there and will need constant protection.

Alimir will need covering also, though he's got a better survival instinct than Ranto, who just tends to run in circles.

I will say now, if you guys insist on bringing Ronto, Rianna refuses to be held responsible for her actions when he gets too annoying 😛
It will be funny when Rianna attacks him and he turns out to be a super force god...like Sienar or something 😐

But perhaps Gallador can stay somewhat behind with Almir and Ronto, as to not alert the guards?

Can we teach Almir how to fight at all?

You are not entirely sure what he is doing on the list, actually. You were scouting out talented or remarkable people, but not remarkable in that sense. Now you cannot remember which one of you actually mentioned him as a possible.

I think that should mean something to us. Rand wants to bring Ranto into our fold, though he still wants to hear from the other prisoners he interviewed.

Though of course it is Ush, so perhaps it will be "haha, he was useless after all" in the end....uhuh

Always possible!

But then there are dozens of useless people on Green, and he DID end up on that list somehow. You guys, even in-game, are genre-savvy (look it up on tvtropes) enough to know that that means something.

But I do want to re-iterate that he IS useless from any reasonable base you have.

Almir is a heck of a gamble as well. Obviously you are thinking "we're underground, he's a geologist" etc and that is true, but... how useful is that, really? A lot of geologists work above ground looking for loose rocks; he might never have been in a cave in his life. He could tell you stuff about the strata layers and how old that makes certain areas. Whopee. And you are not here looking for rocks (well, you don't think so. Truth be told you aren't quite certain why you are here at all). So he is a gamble too- though he does not bwark.

I spent half my life on that site, it's bad, like heroin...the same way heroin is bad, too.

So, can't we keep our more useless people together as to minimize their negative impact?

Sure, but this is not going to be a neatly regimented battle.

Talking of which, once you've sorted out your recruitment, I'll need to know any other preparations you are making... and your battle plan!

Answers!

Almir- "Err... I could advise you on... err... rockslides? Look, this is a mine. I'm a geologist, not a mineralogist. I don't know much about element extraction. My advice to people would be not to mess around this deep at all; it's terribly dangerous."

Korwin killed dozens before he got here (including one of Rivas' guard) and at least a dozen since. He doesn't keep count.

Orikan: "Arrrr! I be skilled with all sorts! I could fashion ye more reliable weapons, or maybe some stout protection for the coming melee, arrr...!"

Chun: "..." (not really understanding) "Chun follow strong people!"

Oh lordy, he makes the Epireans look sophisticated...

"Chun smash... things. And people. Big man not happy. Send Chun here. But Chun like here! Other people squishy."

Det: "Seventeen exactly before I came, and I think none since. And I am good with a knife; what more do you want?"

Kai: "Yes. I am a thief, not a wizard. I can;t magic stuff up. If you want anything down here, just march over and take it."

Ranto: "Ahhh don't hit me! I... BWARK! I... I... BWARK! Sorry, it happens more when I am nervous... BWARK! It's... BWARK!... part of my biological... BWARK!... processes... when I breathe..."

Putting together ranged weapons would be a good idea, I think. Maybe something even bigger than handheld bows or slingshots, like a catapult if we can scrape enough things together.

Having Orikan fashion protection would be awesome...

Orikan doesn't actually have any unique abilities but he has a Fix-It score he can add in to your preparations.

I propose this purchase.

8 Grunt - 4
5 Heavy grunt - 5
Almir Salan- Geologist - 1
Orikan Rhang - Pirate - 3
Korwin Ving - Machete Psychopath - 2
Det Dravaad - Knife Killer - 2
Kai Feskin - Thief - 3
Ranto - Useless - 1

I like the idea of protection and better weapons. Orikan's cool with me.
