USH'S STAR WARS GAME- CAMPAIGN II EPISODE V (DARK SIDE)- The Prisoner of Datura

I'm assuming the people on this level have managed to form a rudimentary distillation process for alcoholic drinks, so I wonder if there is any way that we could make 'force' guided molotov cocktails out of?

You could probably make a limited number of improvised incendiaries.

Yes, you can sense for people, but only once you are there!

Alright, so, preparations we want to make so far:

- Molotov cocktails/incendiaries (to counter the murder holes potentially)
- Improved weapons for personal use (ditch the improvised axes for something more permanent)
- Ranged weapons (bows, slingshots, for picking off guards from a distance)
- Light armor (personal protection and damage resistance)
- Shields (for carrying, part of the phalanx-bridge idea)
- Bridge (for bridging the gap over the trench)

You are unlikely to get all of that.

Any idea on the tactical approach yet?

A tactical approach hmmm Kill all the bad guys without being killed...?

More a strategy that, than a tactic...

I wanted to try my 'bridge phalanx' idea. Tactically, I want us to make some ranged weapons so we can cover the bridge phalanx as it is put into place. Then, combat folks charge across and wipe out the enemy, followed by less useful/less combatative folks.

All rather neat, but you cannot start until you have a plan for the door.

I should also point out that you cannot carry a bridge and the shield at the same time.

Would the greater force users amongst us be able to influence the door operative?

We get the bridge into place using some of our recently enlisted help, then we carry the shielding, tortoise style to protect everyone then the via the force get some muppet on the other side to open it.

Well that then queries how the people carrying the bridge survive.

And not without meeting them, and they are on the other side.

Could those with shields not somehow cover those with the bridge? Might be too clunky of a plan...

Could the door controls themselves be manipulated with the Force? Probably not, but worth asking.

Does the guard change by opening that big door?

You can't see the door controls to have any idea.

Remember, the defenders have high ground; they would be looking down on the bridge carriers.

And yes.

Maybe we Darkies can charge on ahead so that the defenders are a little more preoccupied with us? I'm sure we can clear the trench with a jump, barb wire or not.

Any other ideas for the gate would be welcome...

You guys as the distraction, eh?

No. If anything, our nameless grunts will be the distraction.

Could Rand use Lifting to carry shields that protect everyone from all angles? It seems like a Master thing to do.

One or two, maybe, and they would move pretty slowly.

Hmm. Could Rand do this to just cover himself?

Being totally helpless in a fight, getting some armor would be to Rand's interest. Does it affect schtick activeness at all or just lower your Combat score?

It'd be easier just to hold it!

It would lower all of your combat and acrobatics rolls.

I would say Det, too. Or how about taking neither of them to get more cannon fodder?

Since we are taking the thief, Gallador would like to hear his opinion on getting to Red. What about the possibility of approaching the murder holes either from above (primitive jetpacks perhaps) or from the underground (making a tunnel) ?

Distraction - could one of the more powerful force users create an illusion/thought of fire on the other side of the gate, just enough to get some guards in a panic which will cause confusion enough for us to make our charge
