It's a force point every time you begin it!

Does it look like they need to open the door all the way every time they open it? Like they can't just start closing it halfway through?

If that were the case we could all charge together to the trench right when it starts opening and then start our Lifting when it reaches the closing stage.

No, you doubt it is that primitive.

Maybe we could put something heavy in the way to jam it open. A very large rock or scrap metal. That way we don't have to keep the door open with Lift.

Ah! Go on.

Not a bad idea, and something that one of the first people through should do...that way you guys don't have to just stand there and Lift and can actually help 😛

Except that if you are carrying something that heavy you won't be one of the first through.

What about one of Rand, Gallador, or Azarl lifting said heavy blocking thing over the trench and more or less into place while the other two concentrate on the doors?

That's possible. If done right, the latter bit isn't even necessary.

Rand holds the door, Azarl moves the giant boulder into place? That way we can hang back and follow Rand's initial plan.

If you block the door in time, you don't need to hold it at all.

^ That was me, sorry.

How long would it take to put a good-sized rock in the way?

Depends on the Force rolls and the weight of the object.

I like that better for a primary plan and "hold the doors" as a backup, personally.

Can Almir help us identify a rock that won't be too heavy but durable enough to hold it open and not be budged?

Yes, putting a rock inside the door closing sounds like a better idea. It is unfortunate that Gallador does not have much in lifting powers. He can only use Illusion to distract the guards.

How about trying to Fix-It some grappling robes to get through the trench?

Almir tells you he is a geologist, not an engineer.

"Besides, you'd probably be better off with something metal."

What about the chunk of metal we claimed off girder, would that do it?

A little slight, but its existence points to scrap metal being available.

Which is good because we want it for a few other things.

Let's hunt for some scrap metal, then.
