I had an idea for pretending to be emissaries wanting to pay tribute to the Emperor. Might be a little more complicated than needed. It'd be fun to reveal that we're emissaries from Datura...

Try the refugee angle? 😛

Friendship Circle!

They'd have to sneak up to the roof though.

I figured that was why we wanted at least some up on the roof, ready to shatter the dome. Those that can't sneak or talk in, attack from above.

Problem here is if you can;t sneak, you're going to get just as spotted on the dome!

EDIT: Which I see Galder has also cottoned onto.

Is talking our way in feasible? Or will we be recognized off the bat?

Certainly being recognised is a risk.

Could we procure disguises of some sort? Maybe those suits that Persis and Majora used...

That's not a bad idea, if possible...

So would the approach be to disquise ourselves and Mind Trick our way into the Palace??

I thought maybe we could play the part of refugees from the Republic coming to seek amnesty from the Emperor. I think it'd play well to his 'I hate the Republic and we're so much better' thing that the guards would let us pass without too much trouble.

We can keep it simple.

It#s just a thought to consider. Upon getting out are Rivas followers going to just bow down now their master is dead? Or, as I suspect, are we going to have to make some kind of drastic run away because his army are pissed at us for killing their leader?

Disguises are not magic keys; they involve the use of relevant skills. if you are rubbish at that kind of thing, you'll still be rubbish no matter how you dress it up (pun intended).

You can rely on Rivas' death being a severe organisational blow to the pirates; nonetheless, a sensible way out would be a good idea.

I like the idea of refugees but it might stir more attention than simple tax-payers.

I do not think that Datura is very refuge-friendly place.

I wonder if most guards would be able to recognize us on sight... I do not think so, however we were seen publicly.

Yeah, refugees come under 'slave labour' in the Daturan thesaurus.

I think we need not assume that Daturan guards are elite, hyper-alert people. Rivas' personal guard, on the other hand...

Put the personal guard is more likely to stand in the Throne Room than at the gates of the Palace? And with Gallador's Subterfuge, he always sounds like is telling the truth, I want to use it.

How about pretending to be mainteantce/servants?

Indeed so.

Feasible!

Then it would be reasonable to arrive a bit earlier and observe what kind of people enter the Palace....

Alternatively, what about telling that we are journalists from the Republic that want to have interview with Rivas how he defeated a bunch of Dark Jedi? It would appeal to his hubris, I believe.

Drawing attention to your covert entrance is less wise- too much chance of them checking before you got near Rivas.
