I also like the talking our way in route better cause we don't all have to talk to get in while the other way we would all have to sneak.
Also maybe a third option would be if they are still rioting bad, give them a little force nudge to direct that anger at the palace.

(Unless we can come up with convincing disguises and bluff our way in that way [since Rand has the relevant skills], it may be that we need a distraction near the Palace or that we sneak in)
Galder is NOT happy about that.
He's not certain what we could do as a distraction would be sufficient to lure soldiers away from the Palace other than blowing up something big and important. Even then, they might opt to just be on guard at the Palace if they anticipate it as a distraction and they're waiting for us to make a strike at the Palace.

Azarl will also have gotten in touch with both of his contacts to see if they can help in any way.
Maybe we could have one of our contacts bring us in as hostages, turning us over to curry favor with the Emperor. Then we pull a Chewbacca and break free of our bonds and start the fight.
