Sewers = bad idea. Do we really want to get lost in a subterranean maze we don't know at all and screw ourselves over before we even attack?

Maybe one of our contacts can get blueprints for us. We used maps lots on Datura. Maybe we should keep a good thing going.

No-one has any contacts that could possibly get such a thing.

Chances of getting lost down there are high, I take it?

Depends on the rolls. They are not super-sewers, or anything.

I think that will be our best bet right now. It should be easier to sneak around down there than going past patrols in the streets, especially with all our allies, and with Rand's and Edana's power, we should have no problem navigating our way to the palace. Once underneath we can find a way in.

But I understand that Edana is not a wanted person, right? So she can go ahead and go for our lightsabres, perhaps?

The sewers propably connect directly to the Palace?

Okay, how about this:

We have two teams: Awesome and team Others.

Team Awesome consists of Edana and Gallador. Edana - because she is not identified as part of the group and strong in force and Gallador because he is the best liar, with force powers good for distraction. Gallador will use some kind of clothes that will disquise his appearance, like environmental suit or something like this.

First, Team Awesome will buy or steal a sewers map and give it to Team Others.

Then, Team Others will start to make their way through the sewers towards the Palace area, taking up the guards which are in small groups. They can rely on people with intrusion going ahead to scout/ eliminate guards and also on Rand's Force intuition.

Meanwhile, Edana and Gallador will enter the Palace, bluffing the guards that they are maintenance people, using Gallador's subterfuge.
Then they will locate the lightsabres and possibly help others get from the sewers, using powers like Persuade or Illusion if necessary to get past guards.

Then we go for Rivas.

I think you mixed up the team names, there 😛

And I'm feeling more and more like splitting up will be a bad idea, myself.

Hmm, someone going ahead for lightsabres would be useful, though.

Ush, do we know the layout of the Palace, since Edana was not blindfolded while there and can we determine if Rogan left Datura?

Alternative idea for non-splitting - Edana and some of our allies, maybe also Gallador and some of us that can pull off lies and disquise, will pretend that they captured others as prisoners and we enter palace on that basis. Then, while waiting to be brought before Rivas, those pretending to be captors will get our lightsabres and cause distraction to get opportunities to strike at Rivas. How do you like it? Or they can even pretend they have bodies to present....

I'm thinking Team Others should be Team Everyone.

And how do you like my second idea of some of us pretending to be bounty hunters that captured others?

You can alter a plan like that to suit, but literally Rivas has no bounty on you.

Though Galder has one on his head from Pelloran. That will need sorting one day. You heard Balek copped it in the end but you never know- there might might be another hunter that's a danger out there to you and nuts enough to try.

Oh, Edna is under that bounty too.

But if someone brought us to him, he would hope to get the gratitude of Rivas? Maybe some pirates or other renagades looking for a place to settle? What about my above questions about the layout of the Palace and Bureau's presence?

We don`t need something that would survive a very close inspection, because we only want to get close to our sabres and Rivas.

Do we know about some famous bounty hunters or pirates that use armor/clothes/suits concealing most of their bodies?

You probably wouldn't have to come up with anything specific. Bounty hunters wear armor and protective wear often, if Boba Fett is any indication.

My worry is that unless we can just break free, we'll be vulnerable.

If being brought in as prisoners could be done without making us sitting ducks, it'd put us right in the throne room.

Well that can't be guaranteed. You would likely be restrained and, of course, his guard would be entirely alerted.

I want to call that a bad idea then.

Let's go with the sewer plan. Maybe Rura could even bring some explosives so that when we get under the Palace we can just blow our way up and through. Surprise!

Certainly a surprise, though why blow your surprise on the guards at the bottom of the palace?

Hmm. How high in the Palace is Rivas' throne room?

But it will allow us to bypass outer defences. The people masquerading as captors could cause distractions. And what about masquerading some of us as... being death? They would call for medical examination, which would give us time.
