Either skill will do! But I'll need the line...

Wooo!

Relle, save the day! 😛

Relle turns around to the guy after hearing all of the exchange going on, "Excuse me sir but we are just trying to wait in line for our turn just like everyone else. My friend here means no harm, and if you'd like you can have our spot in line."

Ok.

It is a Willpower roll for Rianna to accept that...

... assuming she wants to.

Pffft!

Believe it or not, Rianna's not exactly looking to pick a fight right now. She can deal with that.

It might have been better to suggest to them that you are not worth it, cause you have hardly any money and you'll fight back and perhaps that they should be on their way robbing someone else, cause...I'm not sure that criminals looking for someone to rob will not do it if you let them cut in line....

Also it would have been style points for using Alec Guiness' line...

(that he failed his roll is neither here nor there)

-

Willpower roll... passed!

But they do ask- how much do you have to pay?

tell themem you have to pay the taxpayer every last credit you got, make them pity you, and maybe you will get to keep your spot

I would try to persuade them that you're not worth it, as Con suggested. Maybe even point them toward someone else.

That's probably a good idea.

And Rianna will keep her mouth shut and let Relle do all the talking, even though she's not very happy in general at the moment. Being threatened by someone when she can't really retaliate will do that.

"You know I don't think we are really worth any of the trouble that is building up here. We hardly have any money, and the little money we do have is going towards the taxes."

It will be a Lying roll to convince them that you are insignificant nothings...

That's not so good, Relle doesn't have lying. If she phrases this differently, would it fall under persuasion instead? Like is she points out people there, I mean the little money thing is not actually a lie, I doubt we brought any money as we planned to be arrested, just that last part that we are so unworthy, etc. is.

So if she'd say something like:
"Look, we really don't have any money, there's no point in robbing us, look at those guys over there they look richer, much better target, too, the three of us would just be a bother for you" would that be persuasion?

You have valuables, like your sabres and guns. You are much better robbing targets than many in the crowd. Saying you are not a good target is Lying.

Lord knows how the Dark Siders have sent a bunch of people into a social situation and not one of you has Lying...

... whilst all your liars are flying in.

(Still slightly clueless as to why you did not just ALL fly in)

Okay, well, then the best way seems to be intimidation, rather than persuasion.

I guess we probably thought it would be good to have someone check out the situation closely, or to have two points of attack....big mistake in judgement as it turns out.

Well, I guess at least we found out that there are machine gun towers, though we don't really have a plan to deal with them that's better than just flying in.

How far away from the tax collector are Rianna and the others?

One man ahead, with a plan as to what to do next, is a clever scout. A sizeable portion of the group is just a party split and inevitable overload of issues, leading to disaster.

Anyway, that wasn't it at all. Team Spidey did it their way simply because they COULD. But there was nothing they were planning to do that could not have been done just as well if they had flown in with the rest of you.

Spidey team is only a quarter of the way through the queue.

Well, I guess Relle will have to try intimidating them and if that won't work you'll have to fight them, without lightsabres I suppose.

Though, if they'd ignite their sabres now, they might get through the cue pretty fast? So maybe we should just start the attack if intimidation doesn't work?

They'll be swamped with guards, though.

That would start the fight right now.
