Well, Ush said your lightsabres for one are worth a lot, so it would be a lie. I think she should go with intimidation, she's still good with that. And you got a half-scary half-dorky looking reptile with you, too.

How about you persuade them that you're basically not someone they want to mess with. Which is very true. Let them know that a fight with you just isn't worth the time nor the cost with much easier prey around.

As Bardock suggested, that is Intimidation.

I would Intimidate him with 'I will alert the guards and then you'll be shot or sent to Datura for interrupting the tax collecting.'

Whoops! You could not have picked a worse reason. Go for the guards? What kind of empire do you think this is? EVERYONE in the crowd is beating each other up and ripping each other off (which, even after I directly told you it was a good idea, no-one looked at the crowd to check) The guards do nothing- the game is who HAS the money when they get to the dais. As the collector either takes the money or takes their holdings in payment, the guards couldn't care less about who is mugging whom in the queue.

You don't NEED combat people in the crowd. You need crowd-control people in the crowd. It IS worse.

I meant more along the lines at least if they get into a fight then they have enough physical and combat skills to not need to resort to lightsabers to soon.

No, you are missing the point. ANY of you could take on chumps form that crowd. That's not even vaguely the problem. But a big fight WILL bring the guards in, and then everything has gone wrong.

Let's do it. Rianna and Relle both have decent Intimidation scores, and Relle has Presence to back it up.

Somehow, Dak has a very low Intimidation score, this amuses me.

If it's not too late to talk him down, maybe Relle could convince him that he could benefit from them helping him get money? That'd be a Persuade pitch...

Also, Rex's solution- of getting him money from somewhere else- is also a good one.

Or even that maybe he won't have to pay anything at all, hmm? For 'some' reason? It's rare you have a Persuade person around, and even rarer that you have the truth on your side.
