I wouldn't do that, not even imply it, next thing you know he runs to the guards cause there's a big reward or something and we are screwed big time.

If you want to get him money somehow, you'll probably have to intimidate someone, right?

More likely they's think he was in on it.

Whether he accepts it or not depends on the Persuade roll.

I would take the 'you won't be taxed if you leave now and avoid what we are about to do' pitch because otherwise it would require you to intimidate or pickpocket until he leaves you alone.

Maybe Josh and Lana should get some input on this?

This sounds good to me. He won't tattle since the guards would figure he's involved, and it's our most likely shot.
