"Great job, Rand," Dak says sarcastically, the back of his mind bringing up an urge for calamari.

"Well, they can try..." Rianna says darkly, while glaring at Rand. "We're not exactly the easiest people in the galaxy to kill. Half the galaxy has been trying for years and gotten nowhere."

"There are over 1500 prisoners on this level," says Almir.

I'm assuming Rah didn't find anyone to talk to, so he wanders back to the others "1500 folk out to get us huh? NICE!"
He looks at the guy they're talking to and says persuasively "Which way to the nearest Red level entrance? Also do you think there might be any folk sympathetic to a regime change?"

You didn't find anyone for the reasons given above.

He can show you where the nearest way up is, but it won't do you much good. And whilst there may be sympathetic folk, there are none that will work with you after the use of a force power.

"Why is it powers like Rand's are a no-no?" Xavier asks.

"Because of the trouble there was last time."

"What last time are you referring to?"

"Oh, there was this guy... caused a lot of hassle."

"How much can you tell us about him, and what kind of hassle he caused? What happened to him were there any other cases of people like us?"

Kuylen causing problems? Galder thinks. I wonder what he was up to...

Galder begins to ponder if Kuylen had a reason for wanting to be on Datura. He waits to hear what Almir has to say about what Kuylen did to anger the warlords above.

Rand is displeased when he hears that his use of the Force has damned them somewhat. He does not comment on the situation, presuming that the Dark Jedi will find a way to overcome this problem. He listens attentively about Kuylen.

"Oh, you knew Kuylen?" he says, as it becomes clear you know the name. "I wondered if you might. I had him in my mind when I came to speak to you guys at all."

"Did you meet him?" Galder asks, eager to find out about his old master.

"Only briefly. He wanted me to identify some metal deposits."

"What metal deposits?"

"Alloying materials, to mix with the iron-like metals."

"Why was he asking about that?"

"Oh, well, he was a funny one, was Kuylen. Always had to do things in his own way. See, a lot of the more enterprising toughs around here build themselves a makeshift axe out of scrap metal they find lying around. They find a nasty looking hunk and tie it onto an iron rod. Not really sophisticated but it makes the point. Kuylen wouldn't have any of that though."

Galder grins a giddy, stupid grin.

"He wanted to make a sword," Galder says.
