IMO its better than the Hulk but not better than IM, Batman or WM.

This is much better than the Defendor.

Defendor is just ok.

Having read the comic I was looking forward to that, Dave getting his balls tortured and how Big Daddy really died. That said, I liked what they did in the movie. One of the best comic book movies Ive seen. I was entertained the whole time. Nic Cage was a bit over the top but somehow I didnt mind it. Hit Girl stole the movie.

Between Kick-Ass and Iron Man 2; what do you people think is the better comic book film. Kick Ass was cool and all, but I think Iron Man 2 is a notch or possibly two above it.

I enjoyed Kick-Ass more, I thought it was more unique, less muddled (plot-wise), better action sequences, etc.

kickass was better imo

im biased though. i loved the kickass comic before the movie was even revealed to come out, and ive always hated iron man ermm

Kick-Ass was better to me. They both attempted humor, but I felt every attempt at humor in Iron Man 2 fell flat. I also hated in Iron Man 2

Spoiler:
that Whiplash spent pretty much the entire movie building his drone army, which after Iron Man avoided for 15 minutes destroyed them like it was nothing. This of course was followed up by a mere 30 second fight between Whiplash and Iron Man/War Machine. There was very little struggle on Iron Man's part in the sense of having to overcome taking a beating before winning. He avoided for about 10 minutes, got beat up for about 30 seconds, then won suddenly.
Top that with a boring 1st half and the feel of the movie seeming no longer new (simple effect of it being a sequel), and that made it pretty darn easy for me to enjoy Kick-Ass more.

Well the humor in Kick Ass>>>Iron Man 2; just like ROTF, Iron Man 2 tried too hard. Rockwell and Downey Jr. went way over the top with trying to make every single thing they said hilarious.

Kick Ass had elements of Judd Apatow films so......

Action-wise: Iron Man 2>Kick Ass. Kick Ass 3 really good fight scenes. But the finale in Iron Man 2 with

Spoiler:
Iron Man & War Machine ripping through drones and fighting Venko
kicked ass, was literally breathtaking, easily outdoing anything in Kick Ass. I was on the edge of my seat.

Character-wise: Iron Man>>>>Kick Ass. Kick Ass had only 2-4 memorable characters. All of the major cast in Iron Man was great with the exception of Rourke's character.

Hell, come to think of it, Kick Ass very well might be the better film of the two. It's closer than I initially thought.

I'm not sure Iron Man 2 had much to offer in terms of character development - Tony Stark had enough, but most of the other characters were pretty one-note. I found most of the characters in Kick-Ass more interesting.

As for the action, I thought the action in Kick-Ass was filmed/choreographed better, and there was way more of it compared to Iron Man 2; the action scenes in IM2 were way too short, just like the first one - although I enjoyed them while they lasted.

See, you hated Iron Man, yet thought Legion was a good movie. This is why you blow.

Kick Ass involed martial arts. Iron Man 2 only had one heavy martial arts scene:

Spoiler:
Black Widow breaking into Hammer
, which if I might add, was just as exciting as Hit Girl in the finale, albeit alot less violent.

Stark

Spoiler:
employing the "suitcase" armor, alone, gives that fight scene credibility.

Character development? Sure, Kick Ass had more. Doesn't change the fact that Iron Man 2 had far better characters. Downey Jr., Cheadle, Johansson, Paltrow, and Hogan were all great in there roles. Rockwell and the Senator were ok, and Rourke was atleast good in the Monaco scene.

i thought all the characters in Iron man were boring and forgettable TBH.

And the characters in Kick Ass weren't. Hit Girl is only considerable great thing coming out of that film. She still can't equate to a Downey Jr. potrayal of Tony Stark.

i think downey did a perfect job as stark too, he really nailed it. its just that tony stark is an irritating character, and he acted the exact same in this movie as he did in the last. i think that that is going to be an inherent problem for this franchise. tony stark is simply not a likable character. he's a jackass, and his always a smart ass humor gets old quickly. hell even in the comics he had to mature to the point where his current comic self is nothing like how he is here.

But Downey Jr.'s potrayal of Stark is accurate. He may nopt look exactly like the current Stark is drawn, but he essentially has the exact mannerisms.

In the comics, Stark is what you say he is in the films: an arrogant, immature *******, prick, and jackass. Take your pick. You may not like the character. Downey Jr.'s potrayal is accurate to the source material. Now as far as the character developing; that's a completely different topic.

i think you misunderstood what im saying. the problem with the movie wasnt Downy Jr, he played the part perfectly ( like i seriously dont think anyone could play stark then he did), the problem with the movie is stark himself. the irresponsible/smart ass personality that stark has just gets old quickly and ive noticed from a lot of peoples reviews of the movie that it gets tiresome.

Just watched this today. Bar Hit Girl and MAYBE Cage, the rest of the movie was pretty forgettable. It was so good when those two were on screen, though. They made the movie for me.

Even Rhodey, Widow, Fury, Potts, Happy, Coulsen etc? and that's not even counting the bad guys...

And i suppose what you think of him and some of those movie reviews are the be all and end all on that topic 😬
