STAR WARS: RETROSPECTION- The White Tower of Halloy

KK then I'll keep moving.

Alright. This will be a series of Intrusion rolls that will be increasingly difficult if you just sneak across the city.

Okay. I'm not sure what other option there is. Uhh can I see any sewer grates or anything.

There are plenty of options.

Yes, there are.

Under cover of an alley that is hopefully dark, I'll open one and drop in.

That makes things a might bit easier on Denzral. Moving from the border of the White Tower's city to the mid-city is a low difficult roll, now that you are in the sewers. You only needed a success and bagged four.

You do come upon patrols in the sewers. These are only two-man patrols, as the sewerways are not large enough to admit three-man patrols, not in that bulky armor of theirs.

I'll head in the direction loosley where the white tower is. I will be on the look out for a single man patrol, or a single soldier guarding an entrance.

You run into trouble there. You do not know your way around the sewer system. It is a labyrinthian network of tunnels.

As long as I am heading in the general direction of the tower, the route I take is secondary.

The point is, you will never get there.

-.- that sucks.

Are the soldiers carrying weapons in their holsters? I'll hide from a two man patrol, and use PUSH/PULL to grab me a blaster as a group go past, maybe.

The guard carry their blasters at all times.

Okay I'll go as far as I can before there is a massive diversion in the grid, then I'll go up and see where I am...

Four successes on Intrusion shows you... that you are no further to the Tower than you were.

Okay... alleyway to alleyway.

Denzral is, apparently, quite comfortable sneaking about. He beats the Intrusion check for moving from mid-city to inner-city by two successes for a total of four. Nobody notices you slipping from alley to alley.

The inner-city has a higher number of patrols moving about, all three-man groups. Occasionally you spot one of the leaders- a trooper with bulkier armor and a bigger rifle- asking for reports from other patrols.

Can I get close enough to listen in without being spotted?

Yes, with an Intrusion roll.

Ok, I'll do it.

Two successes does it. You listen in.

"Anything to report?" the commander asks the troopers.

"No, sir" the first says.

"All quiet, sir," the second says.

There is an awkward pause.

"So, Commander, is there any added kick from the Dz91? I know it's got more stopping power than the Dz78s that we carry..."

They start prattling on about rifles.
