The style of this dark, dank place is similar to the interior of Alcatraz. Cells are side-by-side on either side of a long corridor on two levels. You've come out on the top floor through a light security checkpoint manned by a Knight.
The place is surprisingly small- it can only hold about a hundred prisoners.
It also appears that there are no bars on any of the cells.
Oh my! Jumpstarting this then...

"A few," the King says. "Dissidents who are to be sent off-world, returned to where they came from."
The King shows you to whom he is referring to- most are petty criminals that have crossed a line somewhere. Others are more violent. None really say anything as you pass.
You wonder why you weren't brought here, Denzral. You were apprehended by the King's forces and... thrown out into the desert somewhere?
This appears to be the only chamber. But you sense otherwise. You cannot place it, but there is something bothering you about this chamber.
It has been a day or so, I believe.

"Please, let me out," says one of the prisoners as you pass them. "I've done nothing wrong!"
The King ignores them and continues walking about.
"This place may not be as it first physically appears, I'm sensing something not quite correct about this area, perhaps sealed off chambers. Is this the final chamber? If so, may I look around more intently?" denzral looks at the King, wondering whether or not to trust the ruler of this land, but he hadn't sensed any deception from him.
