According to Thor in Mighty Avengers he has no trouble against opponents faster than quicksilver.
That means that a) the writers tend to contradict themselves or b) wolverine is faster than QS.
Thor has dealed with much faster opponents than wolvie.
as for the lightning even if it's not lightspeed (which I'll have to crosscheck) it's still much faster than the teams reflexes

In Mighty Avengers Quicksilver was a single foe and Thor kept him in check with lightning bolts....keeping QS in his sights before blasting him into the air making QS vulnerable.
My scenario has Kurt teleport Kitty behind Thor while Thor focusing on myriad amount of foes in front of him + Telepathic assault from Emma and Psylocke protecting the team.
Thor falls into the Earth.

That's not a contradiciton. And I'm not sure how you came to that conclusion.
Thor said: "I've vanquished fleeter foes then you". Which is probably true...that doesn't mean he's faster then QS well according to this particular story anyway. What he does is he plays it smart and does a radial attack and that knocks QS to the ground. So nope Wolvey could still be considered faster going by both those stories. 😖hifty:

The X-Men aren't trying to kill Thor though. When Kitty thought he was the Juggernaut she phased his bottom half into the ground and he didn't die he was just in a hell of a lot of pain. So they may not be above that.
