Thanks; I'm glad you enjoyed it. It was maybe my favorite match ever to debate in. Although some of that is undoubtedly how much less seriously I take these things now, allowing me to enjoy them more. Anyway, I'm sure this is overselling it, but on paper I'm actually more excited about the upcoming match. I pitched it to Leo solely on the hilarity of the matchup.

on a related note: have you guys considered having the judges PM their votes to an agreed upon third party, who would then post their respective verdicts in the thread itself after receiving all of them? this would maximize neutrality, because it avoids a judge's opinion from being swayed(even subliminally) by another--which might be the case if they individually post in the thread.

1-2 tourneys have done that in the past, so yeah, it's something that's been considered and implemented. I think most have just been too lazy to do it for individual BZs. I can talk to leo, though. It's a good idea.
