punisher is not a good man at heart, he is a mentally derranged war addict, good character though, specially the garth ennis version from the max label
actually imo i think punisher is in a perfect mental state...imagine a world full of super villians/beings...the real life logical way to to take care of them would be to deliver a killing blow when the chance is presented....think about a super villian and lets say he kills someone he gets sent to a high security prison...he escapes and kills someone else...think of how many people would die like that...if you kill them then that's no longer a chance....while i am not a killing/murderous person that doesn't matter these being have ability beyond us and killing them would solve it....now im not saying kill everyone with powers just ones that threaten the life's of civilians....
now to the question at hand i say Ras Al Goul would be the professor moriarty to bats sherlock holmes

Punisher rarely, if ever, goes after superpowered people, although the current portrayal of the 616 one seems to run into them more often. He's killed thousands of common criminals, dozens of them in jail. He is quite insane and that is beyond whether or not his actions are morally justifiable, no person that can be described as sane would spend her life like he does. What he really wants is a war that never ends against an enemy that never ends.
If supervillains did exist, punishment to their crimes should still fit the crime and not their superpowers. The reason they keep escaping is that the government institutions of marvel universe are a joke.
Delivering killing blows to real world unrepentent human criminals who are likely to commit crimes again if they are free is every bit as logical as doing it to the fictional superhumans (just remember a guy with a gun can drop 20 people in the street in seconds before having to reload), the moral questions surrounding such actions are the same as well.
every time of here certain batman comments i am reminded of Rorschach...

I agree but i also dis agree...think of it this way...you have a murderous superhuman with spider-mans ability....and by some off chance you have the chance to kill them....your saying you would let them live and send them to prison where they could possibly come back and then they would be even less likely to go back to jail no matter how small the chance it still exists....as for the punisher i was speaking in terms of the thought of him....i mean for a man to exist in such a reality as that i don't think he would be insane....but to make my main point as clear as i can...i agree the laws that are im place should exist for all but then we both know their are supervillians in the comics like...Purple man, Carnage, The Juggernaut...ect if your presented with a chance to kill any of those villians your saying you would rather have them sent to jail....that may work for normal people but if they were real and they did escape from jail it would be even harder to put them back in jail because they would purposely watch their steps even more closely then and all of this could have been avoided if someone would have just taken the opportunity and taken them out....i in no way think normal people should be treated this way but they dont have super powers.......back on topic i stand with ras al goul but at the same time i don't think he would be batmans nightmare.....maybe galactus lol
