So...
Nintendo tried to save face yesterday by not even mentioning the boat on their TGS Press Conference
but since everyone knows it's official, they went ahead and announced price and date
3DS Slide Pad Expansion Announced, Priced
Plus a full list of compatible games.
Nintendo has officially confirmed the 3DS Slide Pad Expansion for the Nintendo 3DS. The add-on will be released before the end of the year in Japan, on December 10.The device will arrive the same day as Monster Hunter 3G, and will cost 1,500 yen. That's approximately $15-20 (or 12 pounds in the UK). The device will require a AAA battery to function, and will come with one provided.
Packaging on software will indicate what titles actually support the expansion. A current list includes: Monster Hunter 3G, Resident Evil Revelations, Metal Gear Solid Snake Eater 3D, Ace Combat 3D Cross Rumble, Dynasty Warriors Vs and Kingdom Hearts 3D.
So not just MH, but other games as well, which makes perfect sense since a second rub was a necessity ever since the original PSP. The 3DS was rushed indeed

Wii 2 is getting some problems on it's own
I wonder though, Monster Hunter, though a franchise I don't particularly like, was the driving force for PSP outselling anyone in Japan (this can never happen anywhere else), now If MH4 is an Nintendo exclusive, 3DS might as well be saved in Japan for the coming year...
I'm still betting there will a MH4 Vita version as well 😄
btw: I meant nub, not rub 😮
