i looked up the character of Michael Barrick on Gearspedia.com he ends up dying, So probably be something set before Gears 3

But the first one was the weakest for story.
Gears 3 is the best for me. Gears 1 was too short, and the driving sequence was annoying as hell(specially on insane) Gears 2 kind of tired me. I don't know why but the campaign felt a bit like a chore by the time I finished the game I was exhausted like hell, and it felt like it dragged on. Never had this problem with 3, even on Insane.
What do you guys think of Clay Carmine and his fate? Was it what you wanted. Heh I did buy the shirt and my choice ended up being his fate w00t
Adding Mad World to the storyline cutscenes was Epic for me.
I just played through Gears 1 and 2 again a couple days ago.
Gears 1 is still very fun. The settings and color palette get repetitive but the survival horror section with the kryll is an excellent change of pace. Made me wonder why they never did anything again with the kryll. But the story is downright bad in that.
Gears 2 has a better story but it relied too much on gimmicky vehicular combat segments which got tiring.
I still feel Gears 3 is the best campaign of all three games. Very solid story and the best pacing of all the games.
I think I liked Gears 1 campaign the best because it's was very small squad battles and each battle was a fight for survival. When I first went against the torque bow carrying Theron guards (?), it was an epic battle and tense.
I never got that feeling with the rest of the series. Could be the case of the lower difficulty.
All three were great but I think I still prefer the original. It could also be the case that all three campaigns are roughly the same in content so the original game resonated with me the most.

This I can understand.
Gears 3 had the most intense battles for me. I lost count on how many times I died trying to take out the rapelling Theron Guards while avoiding the damned Gas Barge's cannons when Delta was jacking it.
This is a tip for those attempting an insane solo run...STAY.BACK at all fkn times.

Came across a bug/glitch in the game
near the end when going up in the elevators and then you have to jump over to the other one, I did that and Anya just stayed there nothing happen for a few minutes and then she just appears on that elevator then your floating above it as it goes up, But when i got near the top everything was back to normal.
