Nidoking vs Tyranitar

A slow brute will not dodge a slightly slower brute's punch, especially when that slightly slower brute has a big reach advantage. Flattening a mountain means hitting a pokemon that weighs no more than an average woman is going to be comical. Steel be damned, 130 lbs of steel is no big deal for a mountain buster.

Wow. No one said that they are speedsters. But faster is faster. Perhaps if Tyranitar had the skill advantage, it would negate Nidoking's speed advantage. But, Nidoking is the better fighter.

Example 1. If I (Nidoking) am faster than you (Tyranitar), as well as more skilled, who is going to get the first hit if we attack at the same time?

Guess what? Getting hit by mountain flattening power (according to the pokedex) wont stop the unstoppable Nidoking (according to the pokedex). That is assuming Tyranitar could get a clean hit on the faster, more skilled Nidoking.

His BIG reach advantage negates the slight speed disadvantage.

Guess what? One of those statements is a feat, Tyranitar buries mountains and rivers yes? Nidoking is only 'unstoppable'. Vague and obviously an exaggeration. I guess if you take that to heart you can take statements of Tyranitar's invulnerability as equally valid.

Even if Nido somehow wouldn't be hurt by a Tyranitar punch, (he would, massively) he would still be BFR'd to another continent for weighing little more than 130 lbs.

do u realize how long it'd take ty to gather enough strength in his hand 2 crush a mountain, pokedex doesnt say, but i imagine long enough for nido to run ty thru with his horn. oh & another thing, mountains dont move!

No, seriously, lol. If you are going to use Nidoking being "unstoppable" then Tyranitar takes any attack.

Heart Gold Pokedex entry: Its body can't be harmed by any sort of attack, so it is very eager to make challenges against enemies.

Also the entries for Leaf Green, Gold, and Stadium 2.

Because that's all that was around him at the time. Not like Nidoking could do any better there.

This thread is lolzy, I like it.

Suicune's no pushover either though, as he too is legendary. You think Nidoking's got anymore of a chance at surviving Suicune's Bubblebeam than Tyranitar with it being part ground?

This is perfectly fine, because that just means that Tyranitar keeps getting up for repeated ass whoopin's.

In the game, lvl 100 base stat Nidoking would 1HKO Tyranitar w/ Superpower 80% of the time. Also, Nidoking attacks first, securing victory.
Lvl 100 base stat Tyranitar, however, has nothing that could 1HKO Nidoking. His most powerful option is Blizzard, and it leaves Nidoking with about 1/6 health.

In-game: Nidoking wins.

As for the pokedex entries, it the "unstoppable force meets immovable object" problem.

Pokedex feats (my opinion): Draw.

^ If you go by that Avalanche>Blizzard in damage.

Y'know the Juggernaught is also unstoppable, until he gets stopped (eg Hulk or Prof.X). In this case unstoppable is only a word compared to a pkmn prof and map designers saying how Ttars flatten mountains.

People need to drop the speed advantage thing:
Ttar moves at 4m/s. King is at 5m/s. Slight advantage to King.
Ttar is 2m tall with its long tail/arms. King is 1.4 with a shorter tail but will attack with its even shorter horn. Big advantage to Ttar.
Ttar can crush mountains in a hit. King can pierce diamonds. Again a large advantage to Ttar. This with the range+speed means that Ttar will hit first.
Range; Ttar has powerful Hyperbeams. King has weaker beams or Earth power. Advantage to Ttar.

Orrr look at it with people: Mr.K has a helmet with a spike attached, is 5ft tall and can move at 10m/s. Dr.T (no mr.t lawsuits for me again >_>😉 can bench-press 10 tons, is 7ft tall and can run at 8m/s. Taking away tails, what are the chances that Mr.K's head ram or punches will hit before Dr.T's longer, slightly slower and KOable punches? No gonna happen.

To be honest, I'd expect a harder hit out of an Onix's tail than Nidoking's, and we even see an anime Tyranitar take a hit from Brock's Onix, throwing it into the lake, and it was still okay.

That would be true if it wasn't for the fact that Ty gets 1HKO'd by Superpower.

While I understand where you are coming from with the rest of the stuff you wrote, it's kind of irrelevant since this is the Pokeverse.
I'm not trying to be an *******. 😕

@MooCow
Does Onix have any tail feats or pokedex entries on it? If not, it's just speculation.

Basic size says Onix is stronger. All Nidoking's does is snap telephone poles.

Bruno is stronger than Onix, and the Onix where he lives are larger than normal. 😬

Side note: Bruno and Professor Oak are my fav trainers.

I don't think Bruno was stronger than Onix. Don't remember him over powering that Onix. I only remember him jumping around and eventually removing that Sandslash.

Bruno > Onix

Besides, Nidoking stomps all over Onix, but that's off topic.

Also, Magnus > Machamp.

Nidoking is probably > Onix, if it could hit him.

link-rape

Wtf is a Magnus?

Magnus is a man in the Pokeverse who beat a Machamp in armwrestling.

A rumor is a rumor, lol.
