one minute exposure to an entire rock of kryptonite and he's barely phased... others he nearly dies...red sunlight... weakens him... disables his powers... etc...
he can smash a planet... but has problems with a plane.. or skyscraper..
consistency is his problem... and thats why i'm perturbed... he's overused and fit to make any story line..
guys like cyclops... aren't like that... hell even wolverine isn't like that..
and superman... doing what he can.. because he's the LAST descendant of a planet... which makes him important to the universe... um.. theres an entire planet of kryptonians...
its just.. its... so... redonkulous! 😘 😘 😘

I agree with some of you points both those that apply to Superman specifically and to superheroes in general. But inconsistant power depictions are a plague on a lot of characters and can be blamed on the ignorance or arrogance of the varying writers.

They will NEVER accept it.
Sentry can fly into orbit and rip galactus in half in one panel and they would still hate on the character because again, they dont want Sentry being>there character.
To bad he has always been above some of the high heralds and now with his recent showing, he is above ALL of them (except, maybe surfer).

I dont know about this one; I'm sorry.
We are talking about a character that has limitless power.
Surfer is in his own league sometimes so thats why I'm saying I dont know.
Its kind of hard to stop surfer, especially since we seen on panel him surviving and still being awake from a full head on punch from tenebrous that ripped a moon apart.
Tenebrous is a guy that lives off of brute strength and dont care about killing, so he hit surfer with every thing he had and surfer was still fighting.
Surfer is a beast and Sentry is a beast also.
