13 is still in beta I thought?.. I cant think of anyone better to get the bugs out than the people at arcadia though.. thats one hell of a batch of game testers XD
(the banned stuff was absolutely hilarious to read though)
as for CvS3.... 2d or 3d? .. 😏
Yeah, they went back and said, around "30ish", maybe more with DLC but it won't be as much as MVC2 or SSFIV.
I read that KOFXIII was already in arcades, it was officially completed for that platform, but I geuss you can consider arcade realeses beta testing for consoles.
Rather I would want 2D or 3D? While I still love 2D very much, I kinda want CVS3 before I die and with at least 25 characters that aint just cut and paste jobs from previous games. I luv me some 2D but I'm a fan of practicality as well. As long as it plays like a solid 2D fighter, I'll be satisfied. So yeah, 3D. I mean, unless they can do what I just said with 2D, then bring it.
If Silver Surfer was deconfirmed then that means the person seen in that pic in the link a couple pages back must be the infamous Ice Man. I really do dislike that guy for he's so overpowered in MvC2, it's annoying.
I hope the Servbot doesn't come back because just like Yoda from Namco's Soul Calibur IV: the character is so small, you can't grapple him.
Capcom better not install that spectating crap in MvC3 'cause I go on fighting games to fight, not watch others fight.

so you're just gonna randomly try stuff that you dont know works, rather than cutting the filler out and just watching how really good people play?
The only difficulty I see in the Marvel vs. Capcom games is the control scheme. Sometimes it gets frustrating that you don't know what buttons to use to make special attacks (for example: Jill summoning the Tyrant) but if you go to training mode and discover what buttons to press to make moves you didn't know characters can make, you can have a better chance at fighting a bunch of players and if you try to figure them out while fighting against an experienced player, you're just gonna look like an idiot.

protip : just knowing the command list doesnt mean you know how to play
why were you pushing buttons at random?.. that generally doesnt work in capcom fighters
Why I pushed at random...Hey what was it you said one post ago? Oh yeah.

Well if I was in training mode, I'd know which buttons to push. Don't think I'm stupid, I know which buttons to punch, kick, jump and block but when I need to make them combos and special attacks, I need to figure out how to make them without having to rush into a match with a player and look like I suck.

so, you dont want a spectator mode because you want to just be able to jump in and fight... but you require training mode because you dont want to have to rush into a match and look like you suck
I'm getting mixed messages here

I'm getting mixed messages here too. You say I shouldn't go to training mode and just go to spectate and you say even if I know all the moves, I still won't know how to play the game and I say if I have to go in a fight without knowing the moves, I have to push buttons at random to figure out the moves but you're going all "why are you pushing buttons at random?" Look dude, spectate doesn't reveal the buttons being pushed by the opponent so enough with this. You're giving me a headache.

learning the game is both practice AND spectating good players.. leaving out spectator would be terribly foolish of capcom
imagine not being able to spectate such amazing players as Daigo, or Shounen (guilty gear player), or Justin Wong's crazy MvC2 battles?.. ugh.. -,-
but I guarantee that if you watch (and understand whats going on in) really good matches, you'll get drastically better
P.S. .. replays in super street fighter 4 show the button presses 😮
(which I'm hoping they do for future fighters)

I didn't say training mode is like spectating. I was saying that in training mode, you can spend time learning what kind moves you can make so you don't have to do a repeat of repetitive punches and kicks. If somebody doesn't know crap on how to make better combos and moves and just go to spectate and know what the player will do to each of his opponents, the person will probably just try to stay away from him/her for a long period to not get hit by his/her awesome combo sets and will still get owned. Different move sets can take a big chunk of health off of an opponent which is why you need to learn all the moves and then go do spectating and then you'll own the player if you can. So what I'm saying here is this: training mode first, spectate second.
