Here's a proper example why Dante is a sue
1. He's attractive and despite eating junk food doesn't every show any side effects from it.( Being Demon isn't an excuse). Did I mention he is the only attractive that gets to be shirtless while doing it. let's not forget he looks like a supermodel.
2. Two hot supermodel level chicks in his house.(Nero only has one and isn't much of a looker)
3. In DMC 4 he differently show Mary sueness steals the spot light from Nero how technically is the protagonist and main story revolves at that point. Nero initially hates him but harms up and likes him(very Mary sue like). Dante almost literary have nothing to do in DMC 4 but eye candy.
4. He kills the villians Nero couldn't kill and destroys the gates better than him
5. He gets the most weapons in the game than Nero.
6. Most of the villians in DMC 4 are more fixated on Dante than Nero,who the story is more or so about.
7. Dante despite geting punched in the face getting hacked, can still look gorgeous while doing it and after. And not even get any pernament damage(sure he has regen but still...)
8. He can get away with anything, without repercussion later.
9. His family are the only Demons that look human and they all are pretty looking, while the other demons are ugly monstrocities. Did I mention it was their human side that also gives them powers that the other demons don't have? Not mention the they don't have the weakness other demons have. and anyone that hates them are usaully evil and hateful of it?
There you go, some proper reasons( I think) Dante is Canon Sue. If I am wrong then feel free to correct it. I just wanted to see the excuses of him being a sue.

Likely normals. In Okami, the whip (called Rosary) is a standard weapon, and Amaterasu has three types (Glaive [sword], Reflectors [shield-type weapon] & the Rosary).
The Reflector is her starter weapon, and she has normals with it, and she has a weapon switch. Put two and two together, and you get that she'll be able to perform normals with whatever weapon is equipped.It could really be ossum here as it's the fastest and longest-reaching physical weapon type of hers. It appears she definitely needs some toning down, which I'm sure she'll get. But I do hope they give her all her powers, she looks very interesting. I mean seriously, a dog in MVC? Not a dog helping a human, like Rush and Megaman.

Then I take it being a "Canon Sue" is not really a bad thing, cuz other than 9, which I too think is pretty damn lame, I don't see a problem.

Why add the Human Torch when Super Skrull is gonna be in this game? He's like the Fantasic Four in one body which saves character slots for more better people. If they added Johnny in MvC3, people would see him as Super Skrull minus the invisibility, stretching, and super strength. Of course they both look completely different from eachother but you get the idea.

She's a wolf, mate. Wolves are far more badass than dogs.
As for all her powers, I don't think that'd be the case as she has too many. I don't think Dante uses QuickSilver or Dopellganger in MvC3. So yeah.
In Okami, Amaterasu can pee on enemies and she can also take a dump in battle (excrement explodes and hurts enemies), but I don't think such moves would be appropriate for MvC3. 😛

The F4 are a team through and through. Yeah, there are other big Marvel teams, but the F4 IS a team. You almost never hear "Mr. Fantastic this or Thing that". Its always "The F4". They're one entity, almost never separated. So it wouldn't make sense to include one of the four but not the other three, two out of the four, or any other combination.
They're a package deal, all or nothing, and chances are Capcom didn't want to use all four of them. Marvel wouldn't allow any of them in without seeing all four of them make it, so they compromised. Even in the interview where the F4 were confirmed out, he said "they said "you just can't use this character, why don't you use that character instead?"
They can't use SOME of the F4 and don't want to use them ALL, why not use the closest thing to them?
