I simply believe that it's a possibility he's not talking about Cyclops absence.

If he deconfirms other characters by just saying it, why is he only giving sign languages about Cyclops?

Because he was asked directly about Dr. Strange and probably knew he'd be pushing his luck by explicitly stating Cyclops.

But the thing is, he wasn't asked about Cyclops, thus I don't understand why he would even mention him. He could have easily not mention anymore characters being deconfirmed.

How do we know if he's even referring to a character? Maybe he meant something else.

Why would he refer to something that doesn't have anything to do with characters if he was specifically asked "are there other characters that marvel's rejected"?

I mean, yes, anything is possible, but there comes a point where things become illogical. What you're proposing up above would be the equivalent of me asking you what's 4+4 and you answer "Crocodile".

He was specifically asked "Which characters are not gonna be in the game?" His response was the visor and X across his chest motion. Visor = Cyclops' visor. X = X-men or the X he has on his outfit.

They asked has Marvel rejected any of Capcom's character suggestions. That can easily be answered without disconfirming characters.

Heck, that can be answered even mentioning specific characters. Deconfirming a character that wasn't even mentioned and keeping a tight lid on it seems kind of odd.

It's not odd at all, lol. Game dev's get in trouble if they give away too much information. They're supposed to leak it a little at a time.

Then what is the point in deliberately hand signing an X and a visor, which is the trade mark of Cyclops? You don't make obscure signs that describes a specific type of character if you don't want to point to any specific characters. Why would he make a visor and x if it's meant to just be a general thing not describing any specific character?

I'm not sure about that. They did deconfirm those other characters at the same time (though one of them still has a chance of making it in).

Like I said before, that could mean anything. Maybe he meant "they're watching so I can't say that".

If he's not suppose to give out too much information, then he just failed at doing that if what people say about Cyclops is true.

I'm not trying to argue that you're wrong in that anything is possible, because it is. All I'm saying, is that it's illogical. It doesn't make sense for a specific motion of a visor across the eyes and an X on the chest to not point to a character when asked "have any characters been rejected". It's possible. But it's not logical. Like I said, what you're saying would be like if I asked you what 4+4 equaled, and you replied with "crocadile". Sure, it would be possible for someone to reply with such an answer. It just wouldn't make sense.

I'm not saying that he's implying something that's unrelated to the subject and I'm not even disputing the possibility that he's talking about Cyclops but even if he was, it wouldn't make sense to give out such obvious information when he was asked a different question. That's why I have my doubts about this.

Not the first time they did this. MVC2 had Blackheart and Shuma Gorath, but no Ghost Rider or Doctor Strange.

If he's not reveal soon it might be next month at TGS along with Frank. Because Spider-man Shattered Dimensions is coming and so is Dead Rising 2.

You know I'm not too bothered by Cyclops not being in anymore. We have Ryu and Captain America and he basically fights like them.
