I have no idea... I never saw it before until I got the BD....

Maybe they worked with more light and and a smaller shutter or something... there may be tons of reasons for that.

Ah.

Are there ways with which to combat it retrospectively? (remasters/clean ups digital or otherwise)

Dunno if you can clean up grain without a lot of cost... But technically you could clean up every frame by hand... I think.

And they'd probably recoup their investment with an epic series like the Alien Trilogy(+1 thats best not mentioned)....

Yeah well... Ridley is doing a prequel... on paper that sounds interesting.

Hes definitely up for it/doing it...?!!

Wow...!

*Begins waiting with baited breath*

When's it due anyway?

I don't know but at the stage its apparently at right now, I'd expect maybe summer 2013..?

Ah okay... a bit more patience then.

Indeed. Im betting it'll be worth it.

It better be with Ridley.

Well that would be quite the reputation ruiner if he ballsed THIS one up.

Quite... Although, he is in need of an uber-hit again...

Well this certainly is potentially it.

The news that Lindelhof has taken it back to its scary haunted house roots in the re-write causes much gleeful anticipation as Scott now has the best script that could be, by all accounts to work with.

All the signs are great at least. Damn... can't wait.

Me neither. 😄

Now what do we do?

Watch 'Breaking Bad'.

Best non-scifi drama show ever.

Breaking Bad?

Awesome televisual excellence winning the emmys 3 years in a row for excellent reason.

Dont wanna give you spoilers, but its perhaps "The ultimate portrayal of a man with almost nothing left to lose getting himself into situations that involve his transformation to the darkside for the good of those he loves."

Best non-sci-fi drama Ive ever seen. Bar none.

Whatever you do dont get spoiled, check out say the first three episodes. If its not ringing your bell by then, you'll know its not for you.
But Im 99.88% sure that you'll love it.

You'll never look at the Dad from "Malcolm in the middle" again in the same light.
