Yeah, it doesn't account for muscle weight, or the size of your frame. It's a nice guidline, but far from perfect.

On some airlines, yes. I wholeheartedly agree with it as well. No one wants your ass spilling into the aisle and no one wants to be squished either. If your ass takes up 2 seats, that one seat could have gone to a paying customer.
