USH'S GAME EPISODE IV- 'CHASE'- LIGHT SIDE AREA

"We need to disguise ourselves more along the lines of some type of service personnel. Cleaning staff, caterers, something like that."

And you might want to think about the sort of places where Ascar might have friends...

"I think our best bet is going to be just that, Xeth," Kellan explained to him. "Betting. Gambling. A casino is where we're probably going to find Ascar. Or at least get a lead on him."

Right! A little investigative work (too dull to be handled in-game and done in-film by a quick wipe) reveals a neatly gliztzy Vega-style high class Casino less than half a mile from this docking bay- that deals with off-world betting. it is a fabulously exicting place, all done in soft red leather and velvet stuff, with all the walls and ceilings covered in entertainment machines and vid-screens showing important events from the entire Galaxy- and with a galaxy this big, there are always a fair few important things going on at any one time. People scream in joy or disappointment as their earnings are lost or fortunes made. The only law, the only guarantee of fairness, is from the Hutts themselves. If you are ruined you are most likely dead. To your sensibilites, this is a prime example of why Hutt Space is a cancer in the Republic, and why gambling is not allowed in most of Galactic space.

I'll need to know your approach and objectives here.

Mah and Marcus, the idea T'lo seems to have is this.

The law forbidding the entry of Republican personnel is rather broad. It is not that will would prejudice the investigation simply by stepping in there, it is a safety measure because you COULD render the whole invesitgation pointless whilst there if you ask the wriong questions or do the wrong things- the Tartaran lawyers would have a field day.

But in respect of the importance of your situation, T'lo says an expedition of yours could be sent into the Military Zone, so long as you are accompanied by him at all times, all you do is registered and logged, and of course he will indicate to you when anything you are planning to do would simply be impossible under the terms of the investigation.

sounds fair enough

Great!

But now T'Lo wants to know what sort of thing you plan to DO in the civilian area.

(I'm waiting for BB).

Best push on best you can without him I think, Gundy. I hate to sound negative... but you can't disguise him. He is the only Geonosian on the planet.

Mah and Marcus-

There are explosions nearby, and suddenly all manner of alarms go off in the base.

as I rush to the nearest window I say:"What the hell, stay here T'lo, mah let's go and find out what the hell is going on"

There seems to be no activity outside. You can hear Pheron yelling out for some idea what is going on.

"Intruder alert; all security units to the docking bay," comes a voice over the PA syastem.

"God damn I told him, didn't I, come on mah time to move, before it is too late" I start running to the docking bay, if I dont know where it is I ask anyone I run into

"I hate sticking out like a sore thumb..." Xeth says. "Well, shall we go inside? You can ask the questions, and if anything bad happens I'll be there for assistance." With that, Xeth walks into the place.

To entertain himself while Gundy asks some questions, he asks an employee if they have a recording of the recent Malastare podrace. "I didn't exactly have the time to get it at the race...if you get my drift," the Geonasian says. If they don't have it, he wanders around, keeping an eye on Gundy.

"Lost, money on it too, did you? It's a hundred credits to view. I'll tell you now, though, you'll only be the ten thousandth person who is trying to find a fix in there and failing."

Pherion has ordered the transfer point sealed. Forcefields and blast doors soon leave the way over inaccessible.

Two dozen guards are also hurrying towards the docking bay. You enter-from a point opposite to the way that would lead to the transfer point- and as the doors slide open, you seen a scene of carnage before you. Thirteen guards lie dead. Standding in their midst is the hulking bulk of Chion, and the smaller but no less lethal form of Galder- conspicuously with two limbs.

"Forget it then. I didn't lose any money anyway. A friend of mine was in the race. The winner of the race in fact..." Xeth says, making conversation. "A damn good race it was, don't you agree?"

"No," says the man, "It was a complete disaster. SOMEONE'S head is going to roll, I can tell you."

"Uh Lance?"

Lance probably won't have time to hear you before he either kills that thing or it kills him, Sieri. And you must look to your own predicament. A tentacle from something has just, with enormous speed, wrapped around your leg and dragged you to the ground.

While Xeth made conversation, Kellan removed her hood and moved further into the casino. The sense of greed in the room overwhelmed her Jedi senses almost as much as the smell of it, created by so many human and alien bodies, obsessed with idea of creating and expanding their fortunes. The knowledge of the price on her head reminded her to keep an eye out for any potential bounty hunter as she mingled into the crowd.

She approached a man who was clearly a security guard; modestly attired, but well-muscled and clearly well-armed. Kellan decided to try the direct approach, as time was not her side as of late. "Excuse me. I'm looking for a man named Kir Ascar ? Perhaps if he's here, you could point him out to me ?"
