Sounds like a good idea. Androni's 'rapport' is with Gundark so you had better go.
"They're cominmg to kill me, they're coming to kill me..." whimpers Androni, Gundy. Suddenly, he looks more decisive. "Wait!" he says. "We can take my back way out!"
You descend the lift down to the lower level, Xeth, and emerge into a recently finished fight. Blaster marks line the walls, much of the room has been smashed up, and most of the punters have fled. You trip over what you assume at first to be a dead body, and which on closer inspection proves to be a shot battle droid...
...battle droid...
The stolen battle droids!
-
The droid reads out the note to T'Lo, who nods intermittently. In it, the Chancellor impresses upon him the importance of recovering the stolen artifact- though he does not fully outline its function- and how he hopes that every possible effort will be made in your assitance.
Yerss, aside from the frustration of your Jedi friends, Pheron is extremely stressed and Nebb is... thoughtful. And a little afraid.
(You mean your using the Force to relax them, right? I didn't think they could use the Force... 😄 )
"Master Gundark, it appears as if the fire fight ended quickly. There is something quite disturbing though. Remember those battle droids that Shareth the Hutt had? I've found one blasted to pieces on the floor. Ask Androni if he's at good odds with Shareth the Hutt."
Xeth- one figure still in the bar is not a droid. Li Milano [Shareth's people person; you met him earlier when he warned you away] is slouched in a corner, looking unwell but very much alive.
"Ah... Xeth... good to see you..." he says, as you come near. He has the most enormous bruise around his throat. "Could you help me up?"
-
Pheron needs some rest, that would be helpful, yerssot. But Nebb you cannot seem to sooth; he has much on his mind. He speaks now again through the droid.
"It is a delight to see the Jedi Council apply more resources to help us out in this difficult situation. And I am certain the Supreme Chancellor will recognise the efforts I am and shall be making to assist you in your endeavours. Seeing as there are now at least five dangerous criminals in the civilian zone then I believe it is in everyone's best interests to forumulate a plan for legal entry of that zone as soon as possible."
"Oh, yeah," sayd Pheron. "I forgot to mention something." He gestures to Mah and Marcus. "Your ship's systems are fried."
"I don't have ANY idea!" says Androni, as you two proceed along the alleyway. "YOU must have brought them here!"
-
Not that you like Li at all, Xeth...
"Well," says Li, holding his throat, "I thought I would come and see my old acquaintence Xeth again, seeing as you HAVEN'T left Nar Shadda, which I think is a very very bad idea, and Shareth thinks so too. But I had only just gotten here when this very unpleasant man rather forcibly demanded that I not go near you two..."
Xeth has a suspciously bad feeling about the bruise on Li's neck. "What did this man look like? And how did you get that bruise?" Xeth then realises something else, and shakes Li. "Why the hell did you tell Shareth!?"
He comlinks Gundark. "I appears my 'friend' Li Milano is here. He's squealed on us, I suppose. He brought the droids, and I'm guessing someone intervened."
Li blinks.
"I am Shareth's right-hand man. I didn't get that job by keeping scerets from her; that is a one-way ticket to a waste-disposal plant around here.
"As for the man... well, he was about my height, messed-up curly hair, grizzled face, a scar across one eye, and by the feel of it an artificial arm..." said Li, massaging his throat. "He blew away my droids... but he let me go once I told him if there were any other ways out of here..."
-
Gundark, a rapid volley of laser fire is heading towards you and Androni.
