You can certainly give it a go... it's a modified Star Viper, but relatively standard design...
About ten minutes work gets the lock open with no security activated. Galder himself isn't brilliant on security work, it seems.

Nebb speaks
"Of course, master Jedi. But should you not be worried about your ship? Should your quarry attempt to flee Tartarus you will want a working vessel to chase him in, surely?"
*using force to sense things*
if clear, we'll disable the ship, taking away some parts in order not to let it fly away (we of course keep the parts, if they're too big, we hide them, if they are, we also make sure to take important but small parts out)
after that, we both seperatly search the ship, I have my lightsabre in my hand
You don't get that far, Xeth. As you head out the entrance you get a sudden premonition of extreme danger, and then a moment later you run into a man with tan skin, a scarred face and dark hair, wearing imposing body armour. The moment he sees you, a lightsabre is in his hand.

Yerssot- there is something odd about this ship's hyperdrive. it is certainly not standard. In fact, its too big for this ship; it has virtually been stuffed into the chamber. Not very safe.
Mah- this is one of the special long-range hyperdrives stolen from the depot around Malastare. Wherever Galder wants to go, he's not going there wihtout this
You can dismantle as much of it as you like. Pheron's men will want to seize it, though, it being in their jurisdiction
"But I imagine it could be very dangerous to follow these desperadoes in a one-man craft. And from what I understand your investigation is not altogether in favour at the Jedi Order. Fruther vessels may be hard for you to requisition. Besides which, are you surely not curious as to the nature of the problem with your vessel?" says Nebb.
A quick inspection of the logs throws up a few things. This ship's last location was on an unmarked point in space- presumably an asteroid; and it has made semi-regular visits to some remote ice world named Hoth.
A look at oxygen consumption logs is interesting- this ship only brought two beings here, so this is not their only vessel.
Anyway, this ship isn't going anywhere now.
Ok, you van update them on what you have so far. There is no critical evidence of anything in Galder's fighter but they will check out those isolated co-ordinates when they can. Meanwhile, that is bound to have slowed them up somewhat, though surely a mistake of theirs to leave the ship parked next to the base!
Pheron theorises that the ship flew down whilst the power was out earlier. At this close range their radar would not pick it up so until yerssot saw it when landing no-one knew it was there. Even so, it was not very secure.
Yerssot and Mah, you passed Marcus and Mah's ship on the way back through the hangar. Little blue flashes of electricity are continually passing along it.
