USH'S GAME EPISODE IV- 'CHASE'- LIGHT SIDE AREA

Started by Ushgarak86 pages

They are indeed messages from Trorn, Gundark. They relate the diplomatic disaster that has occurred with the agents you sent to Tarttarus. Apparently not only have your agents acted with no respect for the locals (including a force-based assault ion the security Captain there), they have also been acting illegally by breaching Republican law, and assaultlting an accredited member of the Republican Diplomatic Corps (a senatorial assistant named T'lo Nebb) sent to aid their mission, and in doing so have threatened the utter collapse of a ten-year old Republican investigation that has cost billions of dollars thus far.

CONSIDERABLE diplomatic pressure is being applied not only for the suspension of your mission, but possible criminal charges against your team there, and yourself as their supervisor.

Trorn is issuing a direct order from the Jedi Council- unless you are pursuing a course of action that will definitively bring Kuylen to justice, you are to cease your mission now and return yourself and ALL your agents to Coruscant. You are reminded that the Council reluctantly agreed to the Chancellor's request for a mission to MALASTARE, not for you to split yourselves over half the Galaxy. Several of your agents are missing and may not return. Trorn is anxious that you appreciate the severity of the situation.

On an administrative note, he wants you to be apprised of the two new members of your team- yerssot, sent to aid and try and bring control; to the situation on Tartarus- apparently this has not happened. Secondly, Vincent, sent to Nar Shadda to bring you the Council's request in PERSON, in case you do not get this message, They will be under your command unless the Council suspends your mission.

Serious stuff, indeed...

"I'll take water," says Latara.

"Water for the lovely lady," Xeth tells R3-U9, who fetches the glass filled with water. He hands the cup to Latara.

"Well, looks like our friends on Tartarus aren't doing so well. And I and Kosta don't really have to listen to the Council to much. I remember why I left the Temple now," Xeth says angrily. "Can't they see what Kuylen is trying to become? Trying to bring back the Sith? His lackies have committed too many crimes to not be pursued."

The Council's opinion is that chasing Kuylen has only ever brought destruction and trouble, and achieved nothing, and at this point little has been done to dissuade them of that point of view...

"Why doesn't the Council go after Kuylen? They could easily beat them."

"Anyways, what should we do next?"

The Council does not think it is a good idea. The Chancellor asked YOU!

In any case, the Council only takes to the field in an absolute emergency- even when they suspected the reutrn of the Sith they only sent Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan.

Oh, btw, one on one... don't be TOO sure about that 'beating' part...

(How about the capturing part?)

"This sounds serious, maybe we shouldnt be so hasty.....this kuylen has eluded us so far. Maybe we need to take a different approach perhaps?"

"What do you suggest Master gundark?"

Hmm, I KNOW Gundy has read all that... she talked to me about it... she is looking serious and silent.

(I think Yoda could kick Kuylen's ass into line, don't you?)

"Well, we need to find those Dark Jedi and apprehend them. Maybe we could find them, fly to the them in my ship, and blast the hell out of them." Xeth shrugs. "But I don't know...we seem to be on even odds right now. I've counted three or four Dark Jedi here on Nar Shadda, including Kuylen. Thank the Force you two came," Xeth says, gesturing to Kosta and Vincent.

"Dont you think we should rest before running in and attacking?"

Xeth, believe me, you do NOT want to be flying your ship around the narrow confines of the Nar Shadda streets!

My advice is to remain focussed on your actual mission...

..You all have been quite busy, maybe a slower more thought out approach is in order. What business does Kuylen have here on Nar Shadda?

Well, Gundark was actually here chasing Kir Ascar, whom you have an arrest warrant for, for a few minor charges and fleeing a Jedi. That he is also a VERY powerful Force User is more a background detail though very relevant to other parts of the plot. That he is the only person who has the information Kuylen wants is another. But until you ask Gundy or Xeth about that, you do not know what it is (Gundy and Xeth, do remember these two are clueless as to what you are trying to do!)

Gundy and Xeth knew that Kuylen would try and get agents to Ascar to get that information- that Kuylen himself would be here is something they found out the hard way.

So remember- your primary objective is to stop Kuylen getting what he wants from Ascar, and your reason for coming here was to arrest Ascar and get him out of Kuylen's reach.

Xeth turns to Kosta and Vincent and fills them in. (Meaning read what Ush just wrote)

"We must find Ascar, otherwise the information that Ascar has could lead to the renewal of the Sith."

....How can we intercept Kosta? Is there a way to track his whereabouts?

(im right here you bum 😂 jk)

"I think you mean Ascar"

(What I meant, Xeth, is that they know nothing of the Mausoluem- and Kosta doesn't even known about Avalar!)

Last you saw of Ascar was at the hotel, with Kuylen. That trail is cold; you need another way.

"Well, Gundark has been going after Kuylen since he found Avalar. Vincent may already know about it, but you don't Kosta. Avalar was where a group of Sith monks erected a Sith monastery, where they proceeded in writing down the ancient lore of the Sith. Darth Bane thought this was absurd, and he led his faction of warriors to Avalar. He killed all of the monks, but he did not destroy the sacred tablets that the monks had used, for they had Sith lore on them. Then Avalar passed into myth. Kuylen proved that Avalar was real, and lead his men there after some exploits. They raided the monastery, stealing a majority of the tablets and downloading a map of important Sith worlds."

"Then I joined in on the mission while trying to find out where a missing battle droid shipment had gone to. This led me to Damagran, where I ran into Master Gundark and her crew. There are definitely more of us working on this mission, ya know. We failed to apprehend Kuylen there, as well as save his ex-Padawan from getting killed, which was our innitial mission anyway."

"Then our mission took us to Malastare. There we found out that Kuylen was meeting with Ascar and for one reason. Kir Ascar had an astrolabe, a Sith navigational device, and Kuylen wanted to have Ascar locate the Mausoleum of Demnos. Darth Demnos, a Sith Lord, built a mausoleum for himself. Legend has it that Demnos sacrificed himself and became one with the Temple, and whoever entered the mausoleum and saught to be taught in the ways of the Sith would become a Sith in time. Though that is ludricrous. Sith don't sacrifice themselves for the benefits of others. It is more likely that his apprentice killed him and took his name. We don't want Kuylen to get to Demnos' Mausoleum because that could mean the return of the Sith. The Chancellor made a guess that Kuylen could have been the Apprentice of the Sith Lord that Obi-Wan Kenobi killed on Naboo."

"We tracked Ascar here, for he has the hyperspace coordinates to the Mausoleum. Kuylen got to him first, but I'm sure we can still make a deal with Ascar, or at least subdue him. We last saw him at the hotel he had been staying at."
