(Sure. I don't have many options.) "Here's what I have on me." I pull out the equivelent to a couple hundred credits, then a datapad. "This should take care of the rest." I arrange a straight transaction with the 'tender to and from accounts. But before I complete it, I look up. "Give me the info, then I'll send the credits."

(Chion laughs whenever anything destructive is going on, you may notice, Rex)

The bartender smiles.

"You're lucky to get a response to the name 'Ascar'," he says. "He never uses that name in Hutt Space. He has different names for just about everyone he deals with. But yeah, he came through here. Just as a courtesy, really. He paid the owner a load of compensation money which put him in good graces. Then he moved on- he is here to meet some people." He stops to polish a glass. "Some slaver just arrived oon the planet, that's who I heard he was meeting up with. Nasty type, rather like you. Might be best if you stayed away."

Galder keeps shooting.

"I'm the rugged, risk takin' type. Any idea of the location?"

"Nope," says the barman. "Don't expect me to do ALL your work..."

"If you do not tell us where he might have gone TRUTHFULLY then we will pay you but half of what we were going to pay. And if you lead us to a false place I assure you we will return here and do evil things to your body. Now spill the beans..." Wraith hisses. He's got his hand at his belt, near either his lightsaber or his pistol.

The bartender continues to polish his glass, unimpressed.

"This place is Hutt-sponsored. Kill me and you will be dead within hours. And it so happens I have a recording of you offering to pay me for the information I have. I have given you that information. Here we call that 'fair dealing'. If you don't pay up, I'll take it to the Hutts and you will be dead just as fast."

Wraith, realizing that killing the bartender would only get them in more trouble, uses a mind trick. "You WILL tell us where Ascar has gone..."

"I already told you," says the bartender. "I don't KNOW where he has gone! Only who he is here to meet."

"So you have no idea where he is...well, in the near future, if I could bring up some cash, I'll pay you more if you tell us who he is meeting," Wraith says.

Well, in any case, Wraith and Dak do at least have one lead- a recently arrived slaver, presumably an important one.

Takuan- you are running, panicked, through the forest, which becomes more like a jungle the further you go. You can feel hostile life all around you and have lost all sense of direction.

Galder, you manage to throw yourself through the doorway, where Rura is now hanging back, somewhat pinned by hostile fire.

"Wraith, calm down. Save your energies for more deserving prey." I turn to the bartender. "One more question. Do you know anything helpful about this slaver? Anything we might need to know?"

(IF that was Wraith. If someone can tell me why either |Rex is posting for Wraith or why it has come up with Rex's name for it, I will be happy to know)

"Only that he has come here specially to meet the guy you are after," says the bartender. "He doesn't just happen to be around. Your man must be after something special to arrange something like this."

takuan keeps his saber ignited and well guarding him while he advances, looking for a clearing in the woods.
He still wants to find out where the miramar went..as soon as he can get rid or around his attacker here.

"Indeed. No name?"

Galder puts one of his droid blasters around the corner of the door and aims carefully at the closest guard. He shoots him down and aims for the next, shooting him down. Then he aims at one shooting toward Chion, blowing a hole through his arm. He then ducks inside the door as a hail of blaster fire explodes against the walls.
