USH'S GAME EPISODE IV- 'CHASE'- DARK SIDE AREA

(Now, how did I manage to do that? I didn;t even open that thread! Weird! I'll move the post over.)

-

Not a chance, Wraith. The Jedi is moving too fast, is in mid-jump, and is a better acrobat than you. A second shot from the sonic blaster at close range is impossible to dodge and catches you in the side. You roll painfully to a halt in the alley and lose sight of the Jedi.

-

Reflection is a good idea, Dak, though the debris is not good for your concentration. That said, you have at least spotted the building window one of them is in- about ten stories above you.

Allor, you are safe, though you really don't want to stay pinned.

-

Saar looks curiously at the sabre.

"Lens colour?" he asks.

I focus on the window mentally, but try to feign ignorance, hoping to lure another shot.

Another one does indeed come soon afterwards- and from a different building, another rocket!

I aim to deflect the bolt straight back at its origin, and Push the rocket as hard as I can, away.

"i'm almost sure it's red" he says.

"Well, let's keep going. Anybody we come across is going to die. The first person we see, though, we will take hostage and interrogate to find out where Persis is."

Wraith stumbles to his feet. "Damned Jedi..." Using the Force, Wraith tries to pick up the trail of the Jedi. He plans to spy on them, to see what they're doing here.

Hmm... he's not far, Wraith- he has stopped running. But with another. You sense danger from there. It is possible he was not fleeing but trying to reach a friend. Jedi rarely travel alone.

-

"Well, there can't be THAT many ships down here," says Jolanta. "You can't fit a large starport underneath a small moon like this. I am amazed even those Republican bozos haven't spotted it."

There are people coming, Galder. Your main worry is that if you start a war the Jedi might swoop down on you again.

-

Saar wants to check for himself. He slives the rusted sabre in half with his own and checks the workings. The crystals are usless but the lens is intact.

"Yes, red..." he says. He then sighs. "Ancient body and red sabre... what does that say to you, Takuan?"

-

Your reflected shot JUST missed, Dak. You hope you spooked him! The next rocket shot you deflect so it lands harmlessly- though noisily- behind you.

No Hutt security has shown up. Must have been bribed. People are going to a LOT of effort to try and kill you!

You and Allor feel exposed here. One piece of bad luck and a rocket will hit.

"Dak, what do we do?" Allor asked.

Wraith keeps low. He peers over the edge of the building and tries to listen in on their conversation.

"Quick, hide!" he whispers to Jolanta. He quickly hides in the dark shadows, his dark clothing adding him. He puts his black mask on, to keep his tell-tale skin from showing.

"We run. The odds are against us, here. And we must not lose our target." I turn and run, lightsabers ready, reaching with the Force to find the man.

Wraith, these are Jedi. It will be difficult to get close enough to hear without them sensing you as you sensed them. You can make an effort to concentrate your thoughts to stay masked but there is no guarantee.

-

"Hide?" says Jolanta, disappointed, doing no such thing as the sounds of footsteps drae near.

-

Dak and Allor, you run, laser shots blasting at your rear as you do so. Again, the parting shots JUST miss you... and those snipers will be back to take more shots at you, you are sure.

You have lost Arazi's trail but he was most likely heading back to the spaceport.

"i would think of siths" answers Takuan

"Sith indeed," says Saar. "I'll tell you somwthing else you might now know either. This sector in space is between Korriban and Coruscant. Which is to say, it is on the direct invasion line the Sith took in their final war.

"I never thought they came here... why would they have done? Only making enemies for themselves, the Miramar wouldn't care about an invasion. But they WERE here. And evidently some died.

"It is times like this I wish Kuylen told us more. I bet he knew this, he knows everything about Sith history. All he did was tell me not to tell the Miramar what we were ultimately aiming for, under any circumstances.

"So... whatever the reasoning behind it, our connection to the Sith seems to have got up these people's backsides. But... how did they dind out?"

"the holo immage with the astrolabe i found in that station raises some questions. They were probably curious about what it does and eventualy found out..but how?" says Takuan
"the battle i saw in my vision had the 7 siths in it. Maybe they wanted to have the miramar subordonated to them..they do make a powerfull force"

"Hmm... somehow trying to enslave these people in the same way the Sith did is a cycle of history that would appeal to Kuylen. You may be right.

As for the Astrolabe... that could have been what made them suspicious. It was after Malastare that things turned bad. But was there anything on the Astrolabe that would give the game away?"

We continue to the space port, headed back to the docking bay Wraith and I left.

They do not seem to be in a hurry to leave there. The Sullustan is still working on weapons whilst two large black Wookies continue to prowl around menacingly, one iwth a bowcaster and one with an ENORMOUS laser blaster. Another figure is a well-built though hardly huge man, tall, with black hair and a moustache. The other figure is a remarkably beautiful and happy looking girl- NOT very well clad.

I pause. One wookie armed with a gun is okay, but two? I wonder if I should go in attacking, or act normal.
