Your logic about being blown up if next to the bomb is implacable, Galder. You can certainly try flinging yourself as far onto the p;atform as possible, if that is what you want to try.

"Darth Demnos," continues Ascar, "was a particularly powerful Sith Lord, from many millennia ago. Way before the last Sith War, long before Avalar. One day, the legend says, he built himself his own Mausoleum- which, being a Sith, waa built more like a battle fortress. Having constructed his last resting place, Darth Demnos then committed ritual suicide within it, and spirtually 'became one' with its surroundings, and the Mausoleum faded from sight. And, the legend goes on, that the gift he bequeathed was all his knowledge, experience and power, and that if any true devotee of the Sith were to come to the location of the Mausoleum, it would appear before that person, and that Apprentice could venture inside to learn of the power of Demnos and complete his training. And so you will all learn the power of the Sith, assuming reading a few tablets from Avalar makes you a 'true devotee'... how quaint. What do you think, Mr..." says Ascar, not knowing your name, Dak.
This is going to seriously crimp your Persis-fighting, Galder...
Things go by in a blur. The lifhts of the checkpoint aherad, people, screamd, gunfire... you throw yourself forwards and are aware of force and heat and light behind you, tearing at you... you slam into a far wall and lose consciousness...
When you wake up, you are being kissed. You think. You drift in and out of consciousness for while, and then what you THINK is unconsciousness is actually just darkness, and you sense Jolanta by you.
"Get blown up a lot, do you?" she asks.
-
It's no good, Takuan, there is too much firepower coming your way. The electropole users have moved at diagonal angles to you, and you cannot fight them and deflect fire, or deflect fire and fight them. You try to blur forwards, but something catches your sabre on the way and it falls from your grasp... and then there are people bundling all arond you...
"That will do," comes Nayler's voice.
"Do you believe the legend as I have told it to you, Dak?" asks Ascar.
-
"Yeah. I guess we had better tell them to stomp their fat asses down here..." says Jolanta. She starts to unfurl her lapto, which has a comms unit built in.
-
Glancing laser shot, Takuan. The sabre will need fixing.
Nayler approaches you, slowly.
"The Jedi have told me what you are doing," he says.
"They know all I need to know," says Nayler. "And soon the whole planet will know." He stares at you.
"We shall take you to the upper levels. You will ask Saar to let you in and we shall follow you. If you do this we shall let you live."
-
"I ask because in myt opinion, and the opinion of most experts, the story is ludicrous. A Sith Lord sacrificing himself for the good of others? That is the antithesis of all there is about being a Sith. NOTHING is more important than your own power and survival.
"No, most scholars in this area, including the Jedi, believe that Demnos was actually murdered by one of his apprentices, as is the tradition of the Sith. This apprentice then used his Master's name, and this 'spritual becoming' story he invented, as a rallying point to create his own faction in the Sith, and powerful one it was too, with the Mausoleum as their headquarters. Well now, you used to work in the Jedi Archives, Kuylen. What do you think?"
"I think it really doesn't matter if the legend is true or not. The Mausoleum is one of the few headquarters of the great Darths that was never found by the Jedi, and via some process those who went there DID receive quick tuition. Believe me. There is something there for us. I know it."
"Well, maybe," concedes Ascar. "There must be SOMETHING there, because it's name is on the Sith Astrolabe you so wanted to steal from me, and that Astrolabe dates thousands of years after Demnos's death, so clearly the Sith valued the Mausoluem... but do you really think it is worth all this effort to find? ANY of you?" asks Ascar, as he continues to lead you downwards.
You people do not like this man. His mind is... inscrutable. Calm, like a Jedi's, but his bearing and demeanor are far from Jedi-like.
