"But ALL are irredemably selfish..." says Ascar. "Always a trait shared by your so called 'Dark Side' Still, we are nearly there now."
Allor, Dak and Wraith, you are feeling uncomfortable about... something.
"What you people have to remember," says Ascar, "is..." He stops. He then turns around to look behind you all.
"What the hell is THAT?" he says.
-
"Oh... things..." says Jolanta. "Hey... we got a message from Kuylen... cool!"
-
"We get ONE shot to rescue Latara," says Nayler. "One shot only. If it goes wrong, she dies, and then you do. And believe me, Saar is not the only one who knows how to kill painfully. I would make up your mind quickly."
The message reads:
"Problem with the hyperdrives. Onto plan B. Rendezvous at Dordellus- repeat, Dordellus! Steal a ship. A LARGE ship. We shall use the fuel store to fill it. We should be able to make the journey to the Mausoleum from there. Kuylen."
Well, at least that allays your worries about losing the hyperdrive. But now you have two new worries- having to steal a large ship from here as well, and a rendezvous at Dordellus. Rendezvousing at your secret base? With the Jedi on your tail? After all the effort you made to keep it secret? Still, there is enough fuel there to fly to one end of the galaxy and back, if you have a ship large enough to fit it in.
-
Allor, there is nothing behind you at all. In a blur, Kuylen has drawn his sabre and slashed at Ascar.
Or at least. where Ascar WAS. By the time you have turned back Ascar has launched himself up into the air with the most ENORMOUS leap, onto a high walkway.
"A deal with the 'Dark Side', Kuylen?" says Ascar. "You must think me insane. As the only other person to know the location of the Mausoleum I am a liability to you. You would never let me live. Goodbye, Kuylen. There are some people here who have business with you, and not the type you talk over."
Allor, Dak, Wraith- there are people incoming!
-
Takuan, you concentrate hard, on trying to get Saar to hear your feelings...
"Walk ahead of me," says Nayler, indicating for you to head to the upper levels.
Judging by the hail of incoming laser fire coming from shadowy figures nearby, hoy guess so!
Kuylen seems a little busy to answer. He leaps up into the air himself, grabbing a rafter halfway up to the platform where Ascar is. Ascar smiles, and the rafter begins to bend and break. Kuylen back-flips off it neatly and lands back on the ground by you people, before spinning and directing a shot into its firer.
"Kill them ALL!" he rasps.
Thery are behind and above as well as in front; there is no fleeing.
