Galder uses the Force to try and 'grip' the lift, feel it with his mind. He tries to slow it. "Rah, help me out here..."

Realising the futility of his first plan Rah concentrates, the singing gets louder as he uses the force to create an air cushion above the lift to stop it from being smashed...

I am afraid you would need a force specialist to use the Force to stop the lift (maybe the two of you together if Galder were better...), and Rah's plan is no good as you will be out of the lift by the time it smashes- one hopes!

I can think of two ways in which you can get out with the Astrolabe intact, though I will give you another day to think things over. If not, try the straight jump but you will have to risk losing your prize.

I don't want to risk losing the Astrolabe at all. While killing Persis was fun, killing Persis and presenting the Astrolabe to Kuylen would be a greater reward.

(terribly sorry for the delay fellas...but i'm mostly sleeping my ass here, when not going to school)
(it's a funny thing with them trying to carry this astrolabe. Too bad their characters don't know that kuylen doesn't need it. Because you guyz only need to stop the jedi from getting it. And technically you could just hack it into tiny pieces with your saber instead of carrying it)

On the other hand, a. what if Ascar lied and b. there may be still more places on Kuylen's list that the Astrolabe would be essential for finding...

You actually clip the spiralling attacker with a few bursts, Takuan. But then the one making the low run fires from beneath, and the shidleds flare, and suddnely there is fire and electricty sparking all around you...

(Do we have enough force ability to make a last ditch desperate attempt to combine our talents and together jump from the lift with the Astrolabe?)

Desperately Rah says "Galder! I need yo to concentrate with me, with the force to aid us we can jump from the lift with the Astrolabe" Rah forces himself to relax, reaches out and prepares to jump...

Well, you can't manage the weight of the Astrolabe and jump yourself, Rah- and you are GREAT at jumping. Galder can help you bear the weight but whether he can synchronise his force use with yours...

It's a risk, but less risky than letting the Astrolabe remain in the lift.

(Argh...fine, we'll make a jump for it.)

Okidokey, I shall execute those instructions tonight unless you brainstorm something else. It'll be down to the dice.

Well, don;t feel too dumb, every time you fight you put yourself to some extent at the mercy of the dice; it is the nature of gaming!

Rah and Galder, all you can do is close your eyes and concentrate on the Force... taking close grip of the Astrolabe between you, you sense your 'stop' appraching and prepare to leap out at the right moment... you jump...

... and find yourself in a world of heat and fire. This seems to be the hangar bay, but if you didn't know better, you would say a ship had exploded in here! You don't know better- that is exactly what has happened.

This half of the hangar bay is full of fire and debris. A great hole has been torn in the ceiling, exposing the unpleasant atmosphere. And about a hundred feet away from you, You can see Jolanta- wearing a radiation suit- screaming towrds two others in radiation suits- wielding sabres, they must be Jedi- whilst Chion is dragging her up the ramp of a ship they seem to have procured. All have turned to look at your dramatic entrance though!

(Yay we made the jump... from the frying pan straight into the fire literally 😱 )

I think running together as fast as possible, with the Astrolabe between us, towards the ship would be a good idea right now. We can worry about the Jedi when we need to. All being well Chion will help us...

Takuan taps into he force trying to put that fire out

Galder races towards the ship with Rah's aid. "Chion, a little help here, this thing is heavy..."

The Jedi are trying to beat you two to the ship, but with them in the clumsy hazmat suits you think you will make it first, even weighed down, as Chion pulls Jolanta aboard.
