Ryu vs megaman

Yeah, Dragoon's pretty cool too. But my favorite from X4 is probably Slash Beast. He has to be pretty fast himself, he ran alongside that supply train. After that it's probably Frost Walrus. Kookookachu.

Slash Beast is my runner-up favorite. His dual arm beam sabers are so sweet.

A little off topic here. On another note, I'm hoping against hope that Capcom includes X in Marvel vs Capcom 3. He's one of the only Mega Man incarnations that hasn't appeared in Capcom's versus series. Zero was in Tatsunoko vs Capcom. Dante's getting in MvC3; X needs to represent the Mega Man universe. And kick copious amounts of butt.

Because he's badass.

Clearly your being sarcastic.

I'm a Magma Dragoon fan myself. He's like Akuma, only bigger, badder and with the ability to control magma.

Akuma walks on the bottom of a sea of water. Dragoon walks on the bottom of an ocean of lava.

Magma Dragoon is great, but what makes it so cool for Akuma is that he's a man and one's a robot. 'Not really that great when a robot does somethin' a human can't. Still Magama Dragoon is the the hot shit, no pun intended.

No, Overdrive Ostrich is badass.

And I do as well. X is awesome, perhaps the best Megaman incarnation.

Though I love me some Battle Network. 😬 It's a sickness, I can't help it.

Was addicted to BN 1 and 6 for a while. All this Megaman, gotta get some of the X series now.

Don't too much care for the Battle Network but I love Star Force (terrible I know) but I only like it for 1 reason...character design and art. When I traded in my DS and DS games, I kept the case and game manuals just for the art.

Starforce sounded just terrible to me, so I didn't even try it. But damn it, just something about Battle Network that I loved. It was probably Protoman, to be honest.

It is pretty crappy indeed, but like I said, the characters and art are top notch.

Not even Gouki's Hadoukens can hope to stop X's Hadouken stoned

There isn't a direct answer to that question, as it has never been stated in canon. It has been stated that X is more mobile than Zero and demonstratively faster in game play. Zero has fought and defeated Fenri Lunaedge and Sage Harpuia, both stated to fight at supersonic speed. If you want to extrapolate from game play based on how fast he moves in comparison to Lunaedge and Harpuia, you could theoretically do so, however, I find it safer to simply state that Zero and X have the reaction time necessary to effectively combat opponents moving at supersonic speed.

Was it ever stated it Zero was faster in the Zero series? He seems faster than his X incarnation to be honest.

If you have a PSP, Maverick Hunter: X is a good place to start. If you have a Ps2, I'd suggest Mega Man X8. If you want the old school goodness, Mega Man X Collection will get you Mega Man X - Mega Man X6. X8 is one of the stronger games, IMO.

Not in canon. His MMZ body is supposed to be a duplicate of his original body with the same capabilities. Any visual difference has been shown to be a change in the game developer's art style.

So, the differences between Zero's armor in X series and Zero series is just because the developer's style?

Yeah. It's just a change in art style. Copy X's base Form (minus the red eyes) is how X would appear if he were still 'alive' in the Zero series.

True.

He does have chips/parts that can boost his speed (running) though.

Part of the original X's body is actually visible in Mega Man Zero 2 and bears some differences with Copy X's body (notably in that X has shoulder armor and Copy X does not, but has blue armor covering his abs and a white X on his chest). If you're interested you can check out the sprites here:

True, however similar parts exist in the X series. And parts exist to increase the speed of Zero's dash in the X series, something that does not exist in the Zero series.

I'll ask a question from you ,If Wolverine vs Megaman who will win?

Megaman, assuming he stays at a decent range.

Ryu is an infinitely better Capcom representative than any and all forms of Megaman, but I'm not letting my preference blind me from my common sense. I know for a large fact that X is one of the more powerful Megamans, and that even with the understated power levels of Street Fighter's high-tiers, pitting the flagship fighter against a character who's throwback moves of the former are actually more lethal than from where they originated doesn't really come off as a particularly even match.

I'da used Gene or Amaterasu to put up against Megaman.

If Wolverine gets in close, he could cause some major damage, perhaps even a one-hit kill if he stabs Mega Man's Solar Pile Reactor. His Adamantium claws are basically a watered down version of the spike traps in the Mega Man series.

Thing is, Mega Man is much stronger; one punch would send Wolverine reeling. And Mega Man's Mega Buster packs enough power to scourge all the flesh from Wolverine's body. Even the uncharged shots (which are shown to be boulder busters) would give Wolverine's healing factor a work out.

Give Mega Man access to all of his weapons, and Wolverine has no chance. It would be like Wolverine fighting Rogue when she's using Colossus's power while manifesting all the mutant powers she's ever absorbed and then some.

I respectfully disagree. Have you studied your Capcom history?

Yes I have, and I have come to the conclusion that Ryu is not only the quintissential fighting game character, but also the most thiving of Capcom's posterboys being that not only has he lasted this long without being given a dozen different incarnations, but his games actually still make a mark. Megaman's since been hauled away to a dime-a-dozen portable console shovelware for the past near-decade.

With the event of Street Fighter IV in 2009, I can see your point, however it doesn't change the fact that not long ago, Ryu was part of a franchise that simply added a character or a new stage and called it a "new" game with no new innovation in gameplay or graphics. Heck SSIV has already begun to follow this mold.

As for "shovelware", I think you might be betraying a bit of bias. Mega Man 9 made quite a splash, perhaps because of its nostalgia factor, however the gameplay of the game is quite good for what it is. Mega Man: Powered Up is a very solid portable plat-former in its own right, and the ability to design levels was innovative for its time as was the ability to play as so many different characters. The Battle Network and Starforce games suffer from the Street Fighter syndrome of simply being repackaged and recycled, but the MMZ series and the MMZX series both delivered incredible gameplay, graphics, and story. Granted, the ZX series has not been selling well, but that doesn't diminish the sharp gameplay and artistic design.

Don't get me wrong; I love Ryu and I love Street Fighter. I believe Ryu is a great representative for Capcom, but historically, Mega Man has also been an integral part of Capcom's library and one of the key factors to putting them on the map.
