Is anyone interested in Star Wars the Old Republic?

I thought everyone in my generation played Runescape during middle school and occasionally through high school.

I'm not much of a diehard gamer, but I spent a few years actively playing RuneScape (2003-2006, 2007, 2009) under the username Treck40 and, more prominently, Alexian Cale. Never managed to achieve a high level on either account, but I was involved for the sociopolitical and roleplaying aspects. Led a couple of successful clans/guilds, became heavily involved in the in-game politics, achieved considerable notoriety for my tactics and conduct.

Good times. Especially when you had dozens of people three times your level call you 'sir'.

Come to think of it, that probably explains everything about my behavior since then.... mmm

You probably sucked at all facets of the game and are lying about the accomplishments you just listed.

You probably sucked at all facets of the game and are lying about the accomplishments you just listed.

Given my penchant for sourcing just about damn near everything I say coupled with the fact that it could be feasibly argued that I have a slightly-larger-than-average ego, I'm surprised you would question this. Would you care to see ze sources?

I consider this to be one of the more glamorous feathers in my rather fashionable cap.

Being targeted by an in-game 'no honor' clan/spy guild is also a nice touch.

A website for one of my clans built by Thepacemaker.

Name-dropping by one of my more successful proteges testifying to my brilliance.

excellent

I don't know what worse. That you had the time to do all this or that you compiled that info...

😉

That you had the time to do all this

It was an exceedingly rare demonstration of highly skilled time management. Don't be jealous, my son. If your ambition and your desire to dominate all those around you are sharp enough, anything is possible.

or that you compiled that info...

We all have shrines to our glory, do we not? Some people have trophies, some have yearbooks covered with the ink of messages written by countless friends, and others have a file on their computer dedicated to their virtual accomplishments.

I have all three. 😐

No idea how to play an RPG?

This from a man who claims to love storytelling?

I'm sorry, I did not know the two are intertwined. Let me rephrase my initial statement. I know the basics of RPG (I think) and find the gameplay boring as hell and therefore play the game only when I think/know it will have a great story, probably using cheats.

Do your duty and let Bioware know how much it fvcked up KOTOR!

The sake of continuity, character homage, shoehorn eradication, and Darth Bandon is in your hands. You must not fail!

Bandon is the secret expansion pack. They can't let their golden rooster out just yet.

After five minutes here back once again in terms of "Twitese" (The language of twitter users) Bandon is trending 😉

Dabbled = level 68, lol.

I may be a little sadder than i thought when I thought Dabbling was sitting with a screen of Level 80s and high in the command structure of most horde side guilds. :L

You pass the test.

Or for those of a female discretion

Spoiler:
I love the history behind blood elves but all males look GAY hence the rolling a felf
our outfits all look like muslimwear.

Well if the Revan novel spoilers are true than KotOR 2 was retconned.

😐

To be honest I was expecting this and I was never a fan of KotOR 2... Sucks for those who were though.

What an interesting group of posters.

Edit: Oh, and the account of events that ares linked is unacceptable. I will not accept a retcon of KotOR II as canon.

Wow, if that really is the novel then it sucks. I didn't think drew wad the type to idiotically retcon good stuff but all that was just painful to read.

You know, it's not like novels automatically override games. It'd just be conflicting canon.

So they've ruined Revan, ruined the Exile, ruined Kreia, retconned Nihilus, killed HK-47, ruined the True Sith and ruined/killed off half their own Empire.

Is that it or have I missed something?

I'm legitimately angry at this.

On a side note I see that the above is badly written as well. Awesome.

I don't understand why drew, who is more familiar with te KOTOR and TOR games than anyone else alive, would engage in shameless retconning.

Nope... That's about the gist of it.

Well, Drew was never known for being a talented author. He always had the bad habbit to tell rather than show.

Because he doesn't like KotOR 2... He shamelessly retconneced Jedi vs Sith as wel when he wrote his Darth Bane novels so it's not new to him.

Scourge realized Revan would fail and then betrayed Revan, making him fail. *Facepalm* Self fulfilling prophesies people! And what's up with Revan getting taking down like some two bit chump and getting imprisoned for two years? Or killing Canderous' wife?

On a side note, if characters stopped freaking out over bad dreams in Star Wars . . .

I'm guessing Revan's "wife" is Bastila.

So drew loved Revan and mace him nigh infallible and then did a 180 on him. Bipolar much?
