Is anyone interested in Star Wars the Old Republic?

Well I thought my arguments in the Battlezone were a nice read, as well as my walkthrough of the animatic.

Gideon is just mad that his nerd rage has manifested itself many times so he thinks it's his turn to misuse the term.

I'm just wondering why you're making fun of me when I'm clearly not in the mood for that.

Because humor soothes the soul? 😬

Look, I'm getting real here, hence the red color. When my favorite character, the late Grand Admiral Gilad Pellaeon, was murdered, it bothered me. But I certainly wasn't mad at other people nor did I suddenly change my mind on Traviss's skills as a writer {they were subpar to begin with}. Moreover, I actually read the book first. Give it a shot before condemning it outright plz.

My friend, you were arguing with quanchi and therefore I immediately found the subject uninteresting. (Not because of you, my love, but because of your opponent. Don't misunderstand my disregard for him as disregard for you.)

I didn't know my opponent beforehand. I saw Blax's status of "Quan slays another victim" and presumed he was some senior debater whose ruthless tactics drew the ire of other posters.

I didn't take him lightly, and therefore our Battlezone resulted into a gigantic debate (that I think I won, although nobody has actually stated it)

[B]Hahaha, this is great.

Srsly, brah? Old Republic era is a HELL of a lot more interesting than anything else. Living history atmosphere, better designed conflict (mainly because GL isn't involved, you don't hear about the Sith Lords having debates with the Senate or something equally lame), and more room for stories to take place unlike the "been there, done it to death" PT-OT eras.

Do you find it humorous or ironic how millions of people around the world disagree?

I agree. I mean, it's quite possible the majority of the book is about Revan kicking Massassi and taking Darths. And it could be simply that Drew just doesn’t mention the Exile’s unique force connection.

I agree.

Damn right you do.

The gentleman or lady who provided the spoilers wasn't exactly a beacon of articulation or elucidation. Perhaps there were subtleties that were misread? When it comes to your fandom, in the words of Jonathan Cain and Neal Schon, "don't give up, never walk away."

This is based on what exactly? Is there some poll going around? And if we were to take the majority of the world seriously, then Katy Perry and Lady Gaga are both better than Paul McCartney. And lets not base anything solely on sales because different products get different exposure. Also, I agree completely with Janus. The Old Republic, at least for me, is the most interesting era. On the flip side, I find the movie timeframe to be the most boring.

I know how it all ends. 😐

I haven't seen anything from TOR era that isn't "been there done that" though, really.

And the game isn't helping, since Bioware is going as far out of their way to throw in as many PT/OT references as possible to appeal to the casual crowd.

I wasn't mad at you. I pointed out that your jokes weren't being appreciated and that I wasn't in the mood. Normally when I tell a friend that they stop. You did not. Are we not friends or are you maybe just a teensy bit insensitive? sneer

I never said I wouldn't give it a shot. Its just that the synopsis is very.... disappointing. 😬

(I'm still not mad at you btw)

Sales? Even if we disregard the film sales alone {in the form of theater sales}, let's compare DVD sales vs. game sales and I guarantee a substantial disparity in favor of the films.

Let me know if I need to define any of these words for you before we get into this, because if you flat out lie on a definition one more time, you're replacing quanchi on my ignore list. 😐

Quite true. Despite my love of KotOR, it was almost a complete retelling of the OT.

That's ok, you have a penchant for misusing simple words so I don't put too much stock into that threat. Now lets dissect the idiocy of the first paragraph, shall we? To accurately compare product X and product Y, they have to be on at least somewhat equal footing. That means, if one dvd has been sold for longer periods of time, then the comparison is invalid. Furthermore, the OT has the privilege of having at least 25-30 years on the newer EU and therefore, the popularity and continuity are there. So unless you have an accurate comparison, you can't make the claim you're trying so hard to make. 😂

It's lighthearted teasing in order to distract you from your woes.

Star Wars: The Complete Saga on Blu-Ray broke records in its first week of sales with $84 million. It was released two weeks ago.

Your turn?

Swing and a miss, again. Your fallacious, argument aside, your initial claim was that people prefer the OT to the Old Republic, rather than te more logical claim that most people do not know about the EU as a result of the aforementioned bolder text. Your turn 😂

The goal post will be moved, to point out that there's a far larger DVD/movie market then there is video game market.
