Is anyone interested in Star Wars the Old Republic?

4e is often derided as too-watered down for the masses. DnD elitists (and a shit-ton of fans of 3.5 that are just calcified into position without even the veneer of superiority as an excuse) think that there have been too many concessions. For example, I've been told that the grappling rules are usable. OUTRAGEIOUS!

The only thing missing from 4th edition would be bindable quick keys. I mean really, it blows. I do have a handbook, before anyone asks. and it's all Vene's fault.

Wha . . . what?

And for those of you saddened by 4ed, I recommend Pathfinder, or 3.75 as it is sometimes known.

Did not realize how addicting and cool an MMO can be once you join up with other people to complete quests. Did not know you could do that.

Careful about that, it sounds like you've gotten in with cool people so far, but give it enough time and you can be sure to get into a raid/flashpoint with a bunch of pricks.

I suppose TOR might do a better job since it doesn't have huge 40 man raids.

This is like a new world for me. I joined 3 other guys and we're just having our characters dance right now. Rofl

I recommend taking part in a guild, if possible.

I don't know if my sexual orientation allows that to happen but I must admit, teaming with people on missions is damn awesome if the people are cool. Also, apparently Darth Thanaton got his wish in the comics because he's on the Dark Council in the game and very powerful.

DS
I don't know if my sexual orientation allows that to happen

I'm not sure they're allowed to discriminate against homosexuals and if they do, report them to the in-game authorities.

Given the collapse of DADT, you are one step closer to giving your natural freedom a reach-around. The conservative sociopolitics of an online game are no match for you.

Rofl. Well, my character is dancing at the entrance of the dark temple right now so if that's not gay, I don't know what is. However, I'd like to point out that the default dance for all characters is the infamous Carlton dance.

Enough of your dancing. Point out redeeming qualities of this game or suffer unimaginable consequences.

Gideon, there is never enough of dancing. >:I

There's enough of his. DS is white, remember?

The quests where you need multiple people are really good.

The spirit of Darth Kallig is ridiculously powerful. He was destroyed by Tulak Hord.

Why is he powahful?

The way the quest was described and the location of his spirit in the Dark Temple, which I believe is the innermost part, not to mention his battles with Tulak Hord and his ass kicking of me as a spirit. Apparently we're family.

Apparently, Tulak Hord used some kind of ritual to conquer the Dromund system. Also, now I have my own ship.

I am now on Ilum. The amount of freedom you get to travel the galaxy when you get your own ship, is astounding. I don't even need to be on Ilum.

Edit: Now I know why I shouldn't be on Ilum right now. I'm at 3200 hit points while the creatures there have 29,000.

lol. I think Ilum is for lvl 50's.

Just found out the hard way.
