Do you really think it's a good thing, that the only thing a video game has going for it is its storyline?

yes and yes

The first should have been a "no", since I am your MASTER.

And I pity everybody, who seeks for a well developed, coherent story in a MMORPG, especially one set in the SW universe.

The prospect of pity sex intriques me.

Well that's all KotOR really had going for it IMO.

KotOR's gameplay was fun.

Meh, I wasn't a fan. Still loved the game though.

Really? What did you not like about it?

As for me, I thought Planescape Torment's gameplay wasn't stellar, but its amazing story was what made it superb.

Found it to be rather boring. I've never been a big fan of typical RPG combat mechanics. It's one of the reasons I'm not a big DA😮 fan.

Ah, all right. Did you like Mass Effect?

A lot of the RPG combat mechanics have been watered-down since Baldur's Gate/Neverwinter Nights.

I rather liked DA😮, even though it obviously didn't hold to its title of "the spriitual successor to Baldur's Gate"

I loved Mass Effect... But it's combat mechanics were more shooter and less typical RPG.

Yeah, the Baldur's Gate series had better combat imo.

Yeah, Mass Effect was kinda a hybrid of RPG and first-person shooters, which I rather liked.

@ Neph

It had a MUCH more complex combat system. Just a better game overall.

I remember figuring out how all the Spell Turning spells worked and how to completely break the game with a Mage. Good times.

Plus ****ing Magic Missile ftw!

Kensai/Mage was the most broken [Dual] Class in the game. I loved tanking as a Barbarian/Priest wielding Flail of the Ages and Crom Faeyr.

Final Fantasy XI/XIV are delighted to make your acquaintance.

Doesn't FF14 suck balls though?

I distinctly remember alot of balls being sucked by FF14.

This is the only thing that matters out of anything that any of you have been saying.

FFXIV, as of its original release, did genuinely suffer from a number of shortcomings (tedious and laggy menu/interface and huge lack of content) that were ridiculously exaggerated by the very vocal but ultimately insignificant Guild Wars fanboys that populate the videogame forum such as the bastard Peach and his ilk. That being said, it also possessed some of the best features seen in an MMO to date (easily the most visually and aurraly beautiful MMO out there, great storyline, innovative and expansive class system, engaging crafting and fetching mechanics) that were completely ignored by the aforementioned group of assholes, and as of today, the listed shortcomings are no longer a real issue, and the game will continue to be drastically improved upon in the coming months, where it will once again be made a pay-to-play MMORPG (and justifiably so), and the game's had an engaging and expansive, continuing storyline since its inception.
