I downloaded Oblivion for the PC recently, from Steam. And... I swear to you, I gave it my best shot.

But... my god. The controls are just... so god awful. The entire inventory system in itself is ****ing horrible. I don't understand how any of you people could stand this.

Maybe so but he is still a *******.

Oblivion + Mods = Absofvckinglutely Incredible

Well I may just be being a Guild Wars fanboy, but when Square Enix makes it F2P for like an entire year and basically admits over and over that the game sucks, I'm still counting that as a sucky game.

Edit: Oblivion was really not that great of a game. Mods change nothing.

FFIV, FFVI, FFVII were the best!

FF4 was also a pretty mediocre game tbh.

Oblivion was a great one-time through game. Exploring and getting the story are really fun when you don't know any of it yet. But I've never been able to come even remotely close to finishing a second playthrough.

Hopefully the 70+ voice actors will flesh out the world more than Oblivion's cast of 6.

FFIV as in the game with Cecil, the Red Wings, Tower of Babil, Lunarians, and Golbez?

I loved that game....

And L2 is right...it's hard to play Oblivion again, but the one time you do play it (and that will be many, many hours) is fantastic. Especially with the necessary mods.

Any game that has 'the protagonist is really a Moon alien' as the big twist isn't making it to my top ten.

This.

Having an immensely detailed (but largely unimaginative) mythology and large game world (with horrible art design)/quest selection mean little when you have such a non-descript plot and terrible battle mechanics driving you through the journey, coupled with absolutely horrendous pacing/direction and in general just plain bad game design.

Aside from having better - perhaps adequate, though most probably unspectacular - combat, I doubt Skyrim will be much better.

Though Jeremy Soule does do a pretty good job with their soundtracks.

Agreed. Final Fantasy VI was where the series actually started to get truly spectacular.

Oh c'mon, the story was fantastic.

BTW, Xenogears is complete crap.

YouTube video

Theres just so much complete retardation in disk 1 its ****ing hilarious.

WTF???

Remember: Chu-Chu died for your sins.

Why is there Psyduck???

The few moments of poor comic relief were the sole drawbacks of an otherwise perfect storyline.

Ah yes, the perfect story. I still get thrills when I think about the time we learnt that :gasp!: Soylent Green is people!

The stories completely butt**** insane and idiotic. At least half the characters are unimportant and worthless. Why is Rico even in the story? Seriously, a bucket has more importance to the overall plot.

And lets not forget the time when Billy shot his dad out of a gun formed from a giant robot that shoots its pilot as an attack. PERFECT!
