As for the big team thing, that's true, however, one of the not necessarily super teams (USA, Ghana, Uruquay, South Korea) is at least going to the semi finals.

England was still out of position, still can't play as a team and still need lots of work.
We quite clearly had lots of chances and it could've easily been 5-0.
Tbh, we should've beaten USA 5-0, and USA are miles better than Slovenia and Algeria.

The two best players were Milner and Defoe, and they played like they do in the premiership....like every team plays in the premiership. Winger runs up, crosses it into the box, striker runs up and bangs it in. That's how Rooney scored so many goals, but he's just not doing it for England.
I would definately take Gerrard and Rooney off, infavour of Crouch and Carrick.

Uruguay is the team I'm hoping wins the cup, as I was born there and when in comes to football/soccer my heart will always be with them.
But being an American, I want the U.S. to do well, but I'd hate to see Uruguay be the ones that give them the shoeing, as it's coming for the U.S., imo.

As gutted as you must be that they (may) have to play eachother at least it gives both the best chance of reaching the semis. And you'll probably have one teram you support there.
