Until they are taught to keep the ball at a young age, doing lot´s of 2 touch small field games, box work and getting the kids to play on smaller pitches like other top European countries so they learn technical ability, nothing will change.Having 11 or 12 year olds play 11 a side on full size pitch is just rediculous, they spend more time running than controlling the ball.
I just read that, is that true? Do they in England never have smaller fields for children??

From what I know from some relatives sons who play in teams in the UK, they play on smaller pitches untill they are 10 or 11,
In Germany and Holland they play on smaller pitches depending what age the kids are, very small kids play on a 1/8 size pitch for example and the keepers arn´t allowed to kick the ball over the middle line, so they have to learn to play the ball from the back putting emphasis on technical game.

Because some country named Germany kicked England out, and the Dutch were my second faves. You might have heard of this country, they lost World War 1 and 2.
Yeah, but how does that relate to Bic? I don't think he's Dutch or German. He does seem to favour England actually.
