I had to read over that to understand it. If Reynolds has no control overhimself, how can he have control over himself and allow himself to die?I think what happened was that Reynolds wanted to die. Void took over and attacked the heroes. The Thor killed the Void and Bob's lack of will to come back kept him a skeleton.
Bob was knocked to sense by the combined efforts of the heroes and Loki. Bob didn't want to live anymore knowing the things he'd done. When that wasn't working, he manifested the Void persona, lashed out at them and demanded they kill him.
Call it added incentive to get his way. But that's about it. Also, this:

To be honest, I had absolutely no idea what you were actually talking about. You quoted the post where I stated Bendis is a fickle f*ck, stating I conceded the point. I just decided to play along until I figured out what the hell you were talking about.
All the Thor bullshit aside (By bullshit, I mean undeniable truth.), I don't think Void is invulnerable to harm etc. as seen. He could be hurt and worn out by sufficiently powerful attacks. I also think that Thor's attack was capable of destroying the Void's body, but Reynold's not wanting to live anymore is what prevented him -mostly, I haven't given up completely 😛- from reforming.
I however didn't come to this conclusion based on Bendis' interview. I could care less about what he spouts as he back tracks. I also don't subscribe to the theory that Void was some unstoppable monster. Like Brevoort -not that his opinion particularly matters but we are discussing the opinions of Marvel related people- I think Sentry is below Skyfathers. I'd place him probably in the Trans level in terms of power. I don't think it's beyond the capabilities of an elite Top Tier such as Thor to give him pause or even defeat him if he taps into his higher end attacks or levels. To be fair though, Thor has the ability to project energy and has operated far above his station so that's not necessarily a knock against the Void.
