Fine, serious post: You'd need a higher end Thor to be able to beat Void. His clearly not beyond Thor's capability to injure, or even wear down in my opinion -Thor's higher end energy attacks > Hellicarrier and his lightning- but at the same time, Thor would be hard pressed to defend himself outside of creating a Vortex around himself and chilling.
Void wins this on average, but let's not pretend that Thor hasn't faced bigger threats, and done better.
Wonder if energy absorption/manipulation -maybe similar to Glory?- would do the job.

Thats a boring reasonable post. *yawn*

Thor did most of the work by the way.
Hmm I dunno I think he was in pain when Cap threw his shield, not sure. Then theres that jet that hit the void and exploded like a nuke. Remember Loki did have to get there powers back, Thor doesn't have any norn stones. So Void could just go depower mode and it's over.

The only time I remember Void being affected was when he screamed during the Mjolnir throw. Which is weird because later on Roger's cut off his head, and Thor destroyed his body with a lightning bolt -he reformed- but he didn't seem to have a negative reaction. Maybe he didn't get the chance to have a reaction. *Shrugs* Destroying the Void/Sentry doesn't seem to be the hard part, keeping them that way is.
Whatever, Void/Sentry were a mess, I'm not even going to attempt to establish some consistency.
Get their powers back? What? The Norn Stones were used to give their heroes a second chance. A boost to some and an upgrade to others (Some of the New Warriors apparently demonstrated new powers I believe).
Oh, I haven't forgotten about the Hellicarrier. I was just referring to heroes personally.
I don't recall him depowering anybody.

This. Void wins, but we don't have a rapestomp here.

Void never screamed but to be fair it sure as hell looked like it hurt.

Sorry my mistake. Anyone my point is that eventhough Thor did most of the work the other did there fair share. That hellicarrier probably did the most damage.
I still think that Bobs personality had some degree of control over Void when Thor killed him. I also don't think Thor ever held his own against him but that depends on your defintion.

It could happen.
Originally posted by Rage.Of.OlympusDoing better against other threats is abc logic since we have two instances where these characters have faced off. Thor was united and inconsequential to stop the Void until Bob wanted to be stopped.

^ C'mon you are messing around a bit. Like you said he was worn down by the combined efforts of the heroes not just Thor.
And Thor wasn't worn down? It wasn't every hero against Void. There were two teams. Here's the team that fought Thor before the Avengers showed up:

I recall the Sentry and U-foes taking it to Thor with everything they had. Many of them have beaten the Hulk one on one. X-ray burned the Hulk's flesh off. So Thor wasn't fresh either. And, I could be mistaken here, but wasn't the Void amped on 2 serums?
And in Bendis's own words, Thor was holding back the entire fight until the end.
I'm going with the Voidster
CBR: “I’ve noticed that a couple of people had a problem with Thor killing the Void, but Thor is part of a pantheon of deities worshiped by a warrior culture. So I imagine that while Thor might not like killing much, when push comes to shove it’s something he’ll do”
BENDIS: “Right, and it also wasn’t his first choice. It was a third choice. He flat out said, “No I won’t kill you,” and then no choice was given. So if anything, it was one of the most noble and heroic things Thor has done. He tried everything in his power to be the better man and then took care of business when he had no other choice. So I thought it was a good moment”

Heh, I like that.
I like you.
Do you want to be BFF's?

I completely forgot about the serums Osborn was feeding Sentry. I gotta re-read Dark Avengers. If it was indeed amping Sentry -I remember theorizing it was a fake- then he takes a dive in my eyes.

As for the serums

It's not really an amp iirc it's a drug for him.

During the head cut off? I actually remember him having more of a stunned expression instead of one that indicated pain.

I actually recall the others heroes doing absolutely nothing outside of the Avenger's Trinity. I'm hoping Thor's lightning bolts are what wore him down enough to be put down temporarily by the carrier. Makes everyone else seem better.

At that point, I think Void had assumed nearly full control over their body. After Lindy's death, he just gave up it seemed to me. I think -assuming- however that it was his wanting to die is what kept them dead. Of course that doesn't make much sense to me as he wanted to die before, so I don't see why anything would change.
Re-read it.

Again, Thor doesn't kill people under normal circumstances, so when he sees even Bob himself wants to die, or at the very least sees there's no other choice, Thor finally caves in and does what he has to do.
But aren't the serums what give him his power?
