I disagree and acting like destroying ares supercedes Loki's destruction and all the rest is pretty ridiculous imo. I know opinions vary here I just don't ever see a what if as canon unless a canon book makes it so.
I agree. Some INSANE stuff has happened in What ifs. Basically, if they want something to happen, they don't care HOW it happens, just THAT it happens. So in this case, they want to see what happens if the Sentry wins, so they need some plot device to explain his win, and they'll use ANYTHING, as long as it makes some sense.

Sentry didn't suck. I guess people just like 2D heroes and villains.

I reckon the story was handled accurately. Sentry killed Ares earlier so he was able to kill Thor and the rest with ease.
Sentry killing Loki in the normal arc happened cause he transformed into the Void Beast and the had no limits.
In the What If story Sentry never transforms into Void until later and Loki escapes.
I consider it canon and all the loopholes were covered.
And it's cool if you didn't like the plot development of the Sentry BB.
Personally I loved the idea of a junky gaining ultimate potential but having a fragile mind and multiple personalities as a result.
There are too many comicbook characters out there that have such awesome power but show no ramifications psychologically.
It showed that ultimate power came with a price.
If I have to say it again there will be multiple warning. Take this What If shit to another forum. It's not valid proof in the CB vs forum.
To be clear, this is the end of the What If discussion.
No Non-canon Sources
Non-canon sources are invalid for evidence. With rare exceptions, comics not in continuity such as Elseworlds, What Ifs, or alternate universes are not used for evidence in debates of a particular mainstream character.
Originally posted by the ninjakNo like I said I liked the concept which is what you described. But if they write him more like that instead of being eaten by wendigo and such he would have been better. The concept is really good. IMO the character himself didn't turn out great.

OK Bada.
I just wanted to raise that the issue was excellent.
And although not canon helled some interesting insights into the character.
And Bada what about time altering stories like Age Of Apocalypse?
