Superman beat Darkseid in Apokolips Now #1, and Superman/Batman #13. In Action Comics #586 he resorted to battle field removal after Superman outmaneuvered him and beat his ass down. In Superman/Batman #72 he resorted to running away after Superman beat his ass down because he was scared Superman was going to put him back into the Source Wall or something similar *snicker*He also looked noticeably superior against Darkseid in Countdown To Final Crisis Week #49.

AC 586? Lol. That was crap, Darkseid was weakened by an incredibly PISy attack: being hit with his own OE even though the finder beams are really just the equivalent of a laser pointer and Darkseid controls when the actual Omega Effect takes place which is just an out of character tard moment.
Darkseid didn't appear in S/B 72. Check your facts lol.
Countdown 49? At the very most Superman was shown to be DS's peer. A blast of the OE made Superman bleed and DS didn't want to waste any more time scuffling with Superman when he could just kill him with Kryptonite.
He didn't kill DS by singing, he helped shatter DS's final hold over the Multiverse by singing his counter-vibration, an attack that used up pretty much all of Superman's power btw.
I can agree on that, his jobber aura would mean Thor's ass on the floor if they fought.
